Police are under the microscope and can’t get away with **** at their job even if they wanted to. They are held to a higher standard than others and their job is to serve and protect the public. I wholeheartedly agree that police need better training. I disagree that they need to be defunded. How are they going to train if their funds are cut?

I 100% disagree with how the left is going about trying to accomplish their goals. I am embarrassed and don't want to be affiliated with anyone that is partaking in destroying/interrupting society.

Seeing how it seems like these guys are getting passes to destroy stuff does make me paranoid a bit and I will defend myself and family God forbid it every comes to my town.

Like I can want police to be community members and not military operatives, I can want them to cut the thin blue line B.S. and purge bad apples, but I can also want to see them return fire if someone shines a laser in their eye?

I can defend the right to peacefully protest in favor of straight up communism but vehemently oppose violent rioting with the goal of police reform. Just because our ideals align on that issue doesn't mean they get a pass.

I realize I may be buttering up a roll bread, but you can absolutely acknowledge there are issues with the policing in America and not buy into the BLM nonsense about cops hunting blacks to exterminate them. It's pretty sad that we had a good chance at actually ending qualified immunity and generating some actual police reform, and instead we got a leftist Marxist riot that is doing nothing but inflaming race relations in our country and forcing rational thinkers to side WITH the police state that we would likely be trying to dismantle in less absurd scenarios.
