Ive been trying to escape this chit hole all of my 20’s. Went to college for a trendy silicone valley skill that isnt appreciated in this small town where tradies and nurses are in demand. Never had the money to save up to move out west permanently and find work.



I’m pretty sure its just a town full of chitty people. A whole lot of gentrification is happening at the moment since were close to a major city. People who’ve lived here their whole lives are being pushed out into the sticks.. Towns with a main road a grocery store and not much else.

People can be against you in a small town, but not the whole town. Most people couldn't agree on the color of their chit or have an interest in you. It's most likely your coworkers at best.

In small towns people gossip like crazy and do have cliques and if you get involved with some drama with them they can try to fuk with you. Like i was saying some dude was following me around for a month or two looking for a dude i knew at the time. He searched my car and everything when i wasn't there. You just never know man. The people taking pics could just be in your head or it really happened we don't know. I'm just saying that i have lived in a small area my whole life and know how people are. They do gossip and there are cliques and trouble makers etc.

The whole town isn't against you though. Hopefully you don't actually think that lol

And i dont think. The whole town is against me just when i experience unwarranted weird behavior like someone staring at me like a deer in the headlights or making comments like the coworkers is the only time i ever consider this.

99% of the roughly 30k people in this town dont know me or give af about me. Its the 30 or so 1% who i either went to highschool with, or know of me from family, or work, or where ever.

I feel like you just have a grip of haters and it is becoming overblown in your mind because you are so hyper focused on it. Take a step back, then proceed to lol just lol at people who chug haterade, and continue on with your life. Every time these thoughts enter your mind gently push them out.

There is that anecdotal story of a guy who goes crazy over a leaky faucet—don’t be that guy. The noise from the drip of that leaky faucet is not that loud and it only seems like it because you are so hyper focused on it.

Like in situation 1: Its safe to say that if she looked me up on FB and realized she knew my sister, she probably could’ve messaged my sister and been like “I didnt know you had a brother named basiliskboy!” Or whatever then naturally from that, “gossip” about me at work could ensue. Even though thats all speculation it is not far fetched at all.

I just find people act way too fckn goofy around me for no reason like i got a dildo stuck to my forehead or something. And that behavior ONLY happens here with regulars. Just trying to make sense of it

Only reason i use the term gangstalking is because i dont know what you’d call it otherwise.

Its insane to me the misc is pretending like highschool never ends in small towns and cliques dont form grudges or target individuals in meaningless drama

Why would the old people and the young chick all be in on some kind of stalking thing. That is what is weird. Why would two different groups of people like that be connected and why would old dudes at work be connected with a stalking plot from your high school nemesis'.

When I visit my mum in the 55 and up retirement community she lives in, everyone fuking stares at me. All the time. Throw normal social etiquette out the window where if I catch them staring at me looking directly at them and then look back in 20 seconds they are still fuking staring. I could just be unloading the car or doing whatever mundane task outside and they are staring. All the old farts there gossip about everyone else because they dont work and have nothing to do all day.

But if I started thinking that they were communicating with people from my highschool or work or whatever who are off in different states then it would be paranoid.

From these types of posts i can tell who of you live in the south / small town.

All these people knew each other. The same old guys i talked to would small talk the girl because they knew their folks.

We’re talking generations of people who grew up together and never moved out of their small town watching each other’s kids and grandkids grow up.
The old men went to grade school with the girls folks. Would often tease her about not coming to see one of her relative the old men in question were good friends with at the relatives house every weekend to drink and chill.

I never said they were in on something together. Just the fact that this community is so tight knit i never have true anonymity is unnerving to me.

You'd call it drama or another word that means "this is an annoying thing that I'm letting affect me way too much."

I'm from a small town, I know how petty and annoying it can be. I don't think anyone is pretending that small towns aren't filled with busybodies, but no one is going to entertain the idea that you are being gangstalked as a "target individual." You're already using specific vernacular dedicated to psychological distress.

The thing that strikes me is the significance you are assigning to all these things.

I'm not going to comment on your mental health, but maybe you have a sort of "cabin fever" where you're tired of your town and hyperaware of the BS there.
