In fact, you could add Trumps total votes for NY/CA/TX and it still wouldn't equal Hillary's totals for only CA/TX....she could flush NY votes down the toilet and still beat Trump but 600K.

As much as I don't want to see an Uncle Joe presidency and the absolute hilarity that it would be watching liberal reactions to seeing California turn red, we need to be realistic. In 2016, Hillary won California by over 4 million votes, and had 61.73% of the votes there compared to Trump's 31.62%. Gavin Newsome won their governorship by similar margins in 2018.

A lot of potential factors go into that. You can bring up things like ballot harvesting, non-citzens voting, dead people voting, conservatives staying home on election days because they think their vote doesn't matter in such a heavily blue state, and so forth, all you want. At the end of the day, that stuff isn't going to account for 4 million+ votes.

Again, it would be hilarious to see the reactions of liberals if CA ever went red again. Having said that, the ONLY reason a single dollar of Trump campaign funds in CA, let alone holding an actual Trump rally there, would be trying to garner some of the popular vote count to make the national totals less staggering. Texas would have a 10x better chance of going blue in 2020 than CA going red.

The focus needs to be on the actual battleground states. I.e. FL, OH, PA, WI, NC, GA, IO, and AZ of the states Trump won in 2016. NH, MN, ME, and CO are also in play. That's where basically all of the focus should be for both Trump and Biden. Getting a couple hundred thousand more votes in CA means nothing compared to losing any of those states.

It makes a statement that we're still here, and theres plenty of local things that need votes from sain people.

Nah. It's no problem at all. I live in S Cal 20 miles north of Los Angeles in Santa Clarita/Valenica and there are Trumpers everywhere.

We just elected a republican congressman in our S Cal district in a special election, and guns/ammo in S Cal is impossible to buy because its all sold out.

Our gun ranges are all packed with everyday middle Americans. Asians. Families. Girls. Just normal everyday people. You drive in and all you see is recall Gov Newsome signs.

CA may not go red this year, but it is certainly possible.
