Ya know I really can't engage here because even "bad" movies from 15-20 years ago are still god tier compared to the absolute chit Hollywood has put out in the last decade

1 The Shawshank Redemption - good movie, but I never got the hype over it and the huge imdb note
2 The Dark Knight - Joker does all the movie. Without him, the movie is crap. Same for The Wolf of Wall Street, but without the Joker.
3 Schindler's List - overrated. God on trial is a better movie about holocaust.
4 Tarantino's movies - just because they have an interesting character or 10 minutes of interesting dialogue, doesn't make it a good movie. Reservoir dogs was his best. Pulp fiction is decent. Django and The Hateful Eight are pure crap.
5 The Wolf of Wall Street - meh, just meh
I like to learn from the mistakes of the people who take my advice.

People saying Pulp Fiction need to DIAF

Apocalypse Now, yeah that's a great pick. Huge 'must watch' movie and it's tedious garbage 90% of the time.

not really a compelling story, just tries to be clever for the sake of it and has plot holes everywhere


i think a lot people pretended to like it to feel smart because they understood it

Over rated classics:

Gone with the Wind. Utterly tedious and racist.

Escape from LA, badly made and Kurt pretty much always stinks the place out

All the Dolemite films. First had some slightly funny bits, somehow they managed to make the sequels even worse, and the did big box office in the seventies

I think it’s so important though because in a span of a few moments we see Michael get the news that Sonny got gunned down, and then he sees his wife get blown up. A part of him died that day

yea Titanic is great as far as im concerned. everyone focuses on the love aspect but the rest of it is fantastic. I think that movie solidified my horror for the ocean even more so than Jaws
