good morning *******s. as expected Laura is bombing out. Here is the latest information for this morning. i will post throughout the work day to keep you folks abreast of the situation. Looks like houston should be missing the worst of the winds, but alot rain could still drop.

HWRF idea of landfall (pressure will most likely be lower, this storm is setting near records for how fast the pressure dropping. the lower the pressure the higher the winds and bigger the storm surge)

The track has been shifting East towards a LA landfall. This is great news for Houston. you will definitely be spared from the storm surge, but winds and rain can still get you.

Integrated Helicity is increasing on this storm. what this means is that the risk of tornadoes is now increasing and very likely for those on the east side of the storm.

nice satellite shot, the eye is getting for close to clearing out and this is a borderline Cat 4 storm now

finally getting within radar range

Most of Houston and Conroe to the north is, like, a 100 year old flood plain. Look Northwest of Houston in The Woodlands, Montgomery, and Magnolia.

Thats because Harvey sat on Houstons face and got comfortable. This is a Cat 4 as of now and they expect it to be that once it hits landfall. That area is going to find out how good the levees are.
