No. Why would someone see a shrink every week? That's retarded. I will agree that officer mental health was long neglected and probably still so. We require critical debriefs when exposed to trauma. We also do peer to peer counseling.

What more standards could there be and hit staffing levels? We cant even get enough hired with a BA/S from what people like you, who think they know the answers to anything, spew nonsense. Where do all these magical shrinks come from? I cant even get my regulars on the street the help they need? My department has thousands of officers. How does that work or have you not thought through any of this?

Departments worth a damn already require their use. Laws making it required won't hold. **** happens and sometimes cameras dont get turned on. They're often suspended for the mistake. How would you prove they intentionally didnt use them and prosecute? You do realize we are human beings and not some strange mythical force right? Real people.

There are tons of shrinks dude. Therapy would be helpful for cops in general. You yourself said mental health is neglected. You realize a single therapist can see many clients daily right? There are like 800,000 officers. Let's assume a therapist can see about 6 clients daily. That means you'd only need like 27k shrinks if u meet ur therapist weekly. That's not hard to get at all. A little money spent to make cops more mentally balanced can save billions in property damage from riots. Think.

When they start murdering cops in the streets, burning buildings down, and the entire government collapses, maybe you will agree to go back to the table and fuking look for solutions instead of making excuses. Seems like you just want everything to remain the same. People employ you. You are not in charge. The citizens decide if ur job even fuking exists. Don't you ever forget that. And no, I don't think it's beyond the realm of possibility for the US to create 27k psychologist jobs for this. We waste money on a lot of stuff that is far less dangerous to our society.

You need to realize it isn't going to be the same anymore. People are fighting for change. They are on the verge of killing for it. We need to reform the justice system. Things will never go back to the way they were.

In 2008, Obama gave a couple of speeches about his desire to see a national, federal police force. He let the cat out of the bag prematurely. Now we're seeing what he was talking about. Defunding the police isn't about scaling back policing in the long run... it's about driving the current generation of cops into retirement, dissuading new applicants who might have noble motivations from joining, and then in a couple of years rebuilding the ranks of police with "woke" cops. This is ALWAYS what happens in marxist/socialist/communist/authoritarian systems. A state police force that is political in nature and answers to the political party and not the citizenry.

In Russia it was called the NKVD. In Germany it was called the gestapo. In communist China, it's called the PAP if I recall correctly.

OP is a retard. Judges, who were elected by the local population or chosen by officials elected by the local population, are the ones who sign warrants. District attorneys, who are also typically elected by the local population, choose to file the paperwork to get the warrant issuing process started.

What this means is that these people are getting the exact government experience they voted for, and it's all legal. It's directly their fault. Don't like it? Vote these people out. They've elected the same mayor for 10 years though so it appears they're satisfied.
