Heres a girl that ate 600-700g of protein a day for 5 months, talking about her results.
I've actually been doing the opposite all year as an anecdotal study;

I reduced protein from 170g to just 100g and replaced it with carbs @ maintenance kcal

So far not only have I not lost any noticeable lean tissue but I've actually grown a bit(1.5kg) and I've consistently felt better with energy levels & digestion; serotonin production is up as expected

Getting another x-ray to see if any lean tissue was lost here soon

Edit: So far it's in line with all the case studies, the general consensus of protein needed is greatly overstated among the public. Like I said people are just burning money by overeating protein, the body can only build new cells so fast.

have you seen "The Game Changers" documentary on Netflix? Was interesting if you can get past some of the vegan propaganda in it.

I cancelled Wokeflix after finding out about "Cuties" being produced, look it up if you haven't seen what it's about.

NothxJeff on any veganism, I've watched people become deathly ill due to it and "keto" fads.

No - i agree. I'm would never go vegan, but there was some good discussion on the how much protein is actually needed vs. carbs. Even featured our boy Arnie.

This is something a lot of people are missing.

They say you only "need" 150-200g or whatever.

What they don't realize is that replacing carbs with protein is one of the few ways some people will ever feel full. People who use the traditional high fat keto diet say that fat is satiating, but I didn't find that to be exact true. But when I eat a lot more protein, that helps keep hunger down.

So could I keep making strength gains and dropping weight if I ate 150g protein and 200g carbs vs 300g protein and 50g carbs? Yes. But the carbs make me hungry. And before someone even says it, yes, even complex ones.
