One time when I was a kid my dad and uncle got into a little feud. My uncle was showing his ass at my dad's place one night and spun up his satellite dish cable spinning up sand in his truck. He left for a 2 week hitch the next day. My dad killed an 8 ft gator and put it on my uncles boat launch and propped its mouth open with a couple limbs so it just looked like it was basking. After 2 weeks sitting there in the 100 degree heat it swole up something fierce and got ripe as hell. When my uncle came back he shot it with a 300 win mag and it exploded. It was the most foul smelling thing you can imagine. My aunt starting violently puking and had to move back in with her parents for a week

A spring mushroom.

Have had, but never picked any.

Going to see what I can find this spring though as they are very tasty.

Never thought it would be fun, but I had always wanted to give it a try, and its now yet another thing I am proficient at and found myself looking forward to.

My wifes sisters bf is a chef and sent me the prices he pays for these same mushrooms, and it was ridiculous. (these ones can not be cultivated)

This is all really cool, man. Repped for having such a cool hobby and finding ways to derive sustenance from nature. Being able to survive off of nature is going to be a REALLY big skill pretty soon.

Ontario

And I actually like the black trumpet over the chants, but just finished some chanterelle soup and it was pretty damn good.

Oh yea, you guys are getting all the stuff from cali, right? Our sun has been a deep dirty orange color in afternoon and evening, and they say its smoke causing it.
