Yes, they mean swimmers or basketball players shoulders. Not some 5"5 gymcel who's obsessed with their traps and neck like AlphaDestiny.

'broad shoulders' or 'built like a swimmer' are manlet dogwhistles for 'not tall'.


Although it's possible, I've never heard a woman describe someone as having broad shoulders who wasnt also tall. Just think it's more of a height/overall size/looking like a super hero ideal.
