Not hating. Financial freedom is an aspiration we youngins all have. But the fact remains you’re a money hoarder. You sold out your life to a big number in the bank. You have nothing else, no love life, no kids, gonna be a sad existence in 10 yrs. You said yourself you ate a 5 dollar meatball sub today. You’re worth 4 million bucks your in the 4th quarter of life and you still don’t know how to live a balanced life. You remind me of the guy in the movie, “there will be blood”

??? I'm the same, I work every day myself, yet i'm in the top 10% of Americans. So is Gordon.

What poorcels don't understand is, it takes sacrifice for most of us to become successful. People like Gordon and I won't be working like this forever.

It's a temporary sacrifice for greater freedom in the future.

You tell strangers on an Internet forum day in and day out “listen to me in rich here’s a pic of my bank account”

You’re searching for wows and appreciation from strangers to make you feel better about selling your life out for money. Deep down your hurting. It’s gonna be okay Gordo. It’s not late to enjoy life and find real meaning.

Single wealthy people can do anything they want any night of the week. Typically I'm a much bigger fan of going out during the week and staying in on weekends.

Why do you think 4 mil by 50 is anything worthy to even talk about ,especially with no family expenses and saving each dollar.
In 29 years of your career you grossed 130k average per year ,is that what should we aim for ?
Your bragging isnt justified, you're just another high end employee in big corp world.

No hate, but I wouldn't trade my life for yours. You have money, but what else do you have? And while I don't have $4m+ in the bank, I make enough money that finances aren't an issue, it's not something I ever have to think about. But here's what I have, a new sports car which is comfortable, and fun, whilst being negligible in cost, a nice house, an attractive wife who cooks gourmet dinners for me, keeps my house clean, makes her own money, and who will give me children. If things continue to go well for me I should have about $2.5m invested by the time I'm 50, but I'll also have infinitely more than you because I'll have children and a family.

I hope you're happy, and if not I hope you change your situation, you don't wanna reach old age and then realize that you have nothing but money.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

My current boss has a few million and absolutely nothing else in life. He drives a Prius too (which is a great car btw).

He is a sad existence of a man. No kids, literally counts and saves every penny. At the once a year dinner he hosts at his house he has everyone else bring food. One time he opened a bag of frozen chicken nuggets for the kids and you could see the pain in his face as he stalled by pretending to read the instructions for 5 minutes. He takes the city bus for vacations (cross country) if he finds it to be cheaper than driving and takes MREs on his oversea vacations instead of buying food, oversea vacations are the only thing he spends money on.

I can't hate on him and I do listen to his money advice seriously, as he is seriously good at it. However the extreme saving is not a lifestyle I would want to live with.

No hate on those whose hobby and life goal are to collect money. I too want to amass as much money as possible, just not is such a strict manner.

knew a guy who made 150k+ that drove a truck but bought a used prius for his 100+ mile round trip daily commutes. Dont blame him. People were ripping on him hard but it made sense.
