I hate you bootstrap type people, this was a bad business deal no matter how you put it.
It's either get raped or stay broke.
These are all bootstrap Capitalists you're talking to who've never been in the show biz. Imagine calling someone a whiny bitch when you have no idea how the business works LOL
Dave looks like a genuine man and I don't like when genuine people get fuked over. The other celebrities? I couldn't care less.

All the other guys go through the same chit, Rogan is finding out there is still strings attached and they want more control than he thought with his spotify deal, oh well thats what happens with big money deals.Man streaming didn't even exist when Chappelle's Show came out.
It's kinda ****ed that he can't profit off his own IP.
I do agree it was wrong of him to sign the contract, but at the time he was struggling with a newborn with his wife and needed the money. People get jerked around by contracts all the time. Who knew the man would sell the best selling DVD of all time?
Dave is just asking his fanbase to help renegotiate things for him. I'm in full support of the man.
EDIT: Netflix pulled Chappelle's Show in response.

i get he is trying to pull off a chess move here and get inbetween netflix and viacom and warn viacom he will try to sabatage any future contracts they make on his show unless they renegotiate his old contracts they currently have no obligation to do. Even if he pulls it off, it will be because he is in a unique position at the top to do so, i dont see how it will help any of the people at the bottom, if he wants to make a real change he will need to get into promotions and represent these people, be another Al Haymond type that every athlete/performer loves because he gets them the best deals.
Here Bill Burr talks about the big labels getting into the podcasting business with all encompassing contracts and owning a piece of any future podcast signed comedians do. It is pretty fuked up, i just dont feel much pity for the guys that already made it, this chit has been going on forever, michael jackson buying out the rights to the beetle catalog ect. I dont really care about the rich fighting the rich. Im just the pleb who paid my netflix bill for them to buy the right from viacom and even after its already been paid its been pulled for some moral support for a multimillionaire. I dont get a partial refund on my bill.

It’s just a ****ty thing to do to not have control over content that you created. Props to Dave for actually saying something and major props to Netflix to take it off because they know Dave’s worth.

He just gives his own opinions on what he sees in the world and he isn't married to one position. He's been wrong and admitted it.
The media was deceptive in showing one side of the George Floyd story TBH and Chappelle was no different here.
