All the misc conspiracytards will conveniently ignore facts like these, because it doesn't match their extremely lopsided world view.

This. Going on 50 years now. Meanwhile, other countries are crashing landers onto it with great success.

American infrastructure came together and did it it 6 years, then after that a handful of times more. Yet, here we are, 2020 and they say they are shooting to do it again by 2024.

Has our rocket tech not progressed one bit in 5 decades? Did America really have tech 5 decades ahead of other 1st world countries who keep failing with rovers and satelites?

We're being lied to.

No clue. All the debunkers say is there is nothing of value up there, yet Americans landed men on it 6 times.

Seems our best and brightest would have figured that out sooner, rather than the 6th time.

Not to mention, 50 years later and all these other countries trying to put satelites and rovers on it, investing billions of dollars. Must be something, you would think.

Fuel? Minerals? Staging? Could be a number of things or it could be nothing.

Maybe long term habitation...

Unless your trying to enquire about the process of calibrating the sensors of the space crafts guidance system.

I'd be happy with knowing how we do it in 2020 let alone how we did it in 1969.

They had to develop a lot of the fundamentals of a realtime operating system from scratch, nobody had ever designed something like it before. Interestingly, they made the memory modules by hand.

Odd wouldn't you say.

Also why are we only going back now?, whats the big rush now.
I have a STRONG feeling that it is totally fake or fake in some profound way.

I believe that mission control was basically tricked because they were "playing" what amounted to an online game via their computers. I believe something was sent that fooled the Russians.

The way things have been going this year, for all we know the "Russians" and US were some kind of game being played and they were all the same people, so no need to fool them.

Some glaring stuff is that the rocket plans were "lost" by NASA and the US has records of how many times Martin Luther King farted, so how is it possible? Also, seem to barely have the technology to deal with space now, but in the 60s they did?

It seems like a lie.

In addition, the astronauts ought to be HUGE national heroes. So, Columbus Day has been a big thing for a long time, but no Armstrong Day? I mean, supposedly we FLEW TO THE MOON and then GUYS GOT OUT AND WALKED AROUND-----ON THE MOON----and it's barely mentioned. I don't even know what day it was.

It seems terribly underplayed like the government doesn't want to bring it up.

Moon Theory:

When I was a kid the theory was that planets and moons started as condensing clouds of super hot matter, they got trapped by the sun and condensed into balls.

That makes sense and is the current theory.

However, moon rocks turned out to be FROM EARTH and so the theory, ONLY FOR THE MOON is that an object smashed into Earth, did not destroy it, but broke off a ball the size of the moon, which became the moon.

That is obviously some bullsh!t in order to explain why moon rocks are from Earth.

It's GOT to be fake.

Brb be a govt employee
Brb help put man on moon
Brb my only job is to record data that shows we went to moon
Brb record over precious Apollo 11 telemetry data, evidence of lunar landing and successful missions
Brb “woops sorry guys teehee”

I know people have come to expect less and less of the govt given its incompetence, but you brainlets really believe this?? Lmao

The fact the US has military bases in every country could not, in its insatiable appetite for the military industrial complex, create a manned base on the moon is also evidence that it was not possible then and is still not now.

It it possible that they just faked it, then made all the memory module and evidence later, after they won the space race? I think so. 60 years. 60 years.

The moon landing was 100% faked in a studio. Look at the press conference with the astronauts after they supposedly 'came back'. Zero excitement, zero jubilation. Also, we've never been back and it's 2020, but you expect me to believe we got there in 1969 using potato technology less advanced than a current smartphone?

Mindless posts in here, misc gonna misc I suppose. Luckily we had many highly trained, bright minds involved in the Apollo program that brought about the successful moon landings (contrast to the random untrained miscers ITT offering their grand takes on the matter).

Apollo landings were all on the near side of the moon. The “spot” is not why you can’t see them. You actually can’t see the human artifacts left on the moon with any telescope on earth- telescopes don’t have that resolving power. They can, however, be imaged from lunar orbit.

Not only does he not seem to realize that the moon is 239,000 miles away, he doesn’t seem to understand this would be a direct violation of international treaty (if the US for some reason did want to do this, smh).

This is like saying since the US has not established military bases on Antarctica (also would be violation of treaty), which could prove strategic, that no one has been to Antarctica.

Willful ignorance is the biggest problem these days, my dude.

Retards in this thread really have no idea what being in space over long periods does to the body.

Cancer, accelerated atrophy the human body in general has evolved and adapted only to one atmosphere/conditions. We're absolutely useless anywhere else, and this is why we will have no choice but to become cybernetic in the future. Out bodies will never survive the distance needed for space travel to reach other solar systems.

Soft tissue on the outside, barely any protection for many crucial organs makes us so prone to fatal or near-fatal injuries over anything trivial. We've evolved to be thinkers - well a small portion anyway.

Babies born in space is a good youtube video to check out. It's scary how messed up we would be compared to our Earthly form. Science and the Universe is the ultimate dark pill. We live in a cocoon world.

Military base on the moon for what jack ****? Defending from aliens? Even without a base on the moon USA can destroy the planet anyway. Nfl

Also USSR where pretty close to land on the moon. They already had bunch successful unmanned missions to the moon. And they had the tech to spy on USA and actually saw that they landed on the moon.

Completely fake, only reason we have light is because the sun doesn’t shine as bright at night. Also the earth isn’t even round, its a hexagonal shape but everyone seems to think its round or flat lmao
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

-I'd rather live life saying "I failed" than "I could have"

I skipped around that 5 hr moon landing marathon. Towards the end someone made some points about how the rover was sitting in a lot of photos with no tracks behind it (how did it drive there). Then another photo with the rover still packaged up (hadn't yet unloaded it) yet there are rover tracks around the area. lol I'm not a CTer but some of it is kind of head scratching

I don't like to label all "conspiracy theories" into the same categories. The fact of the matter is, some conspiracy theories are a lot more absurd than others. These days, anything that goes against mainstream narratives is labeled conspiracy theory nutjob material as a means of shutting down all critical thought and discussion. Don't like what someone else is saying? Just call them a crazy loon conspiracy theorist and refuse to even entertain a single thing they say about it. Sorry, but there's a difference between believing that a mysterious giant ape creature named Bigfoot/Sasquatch is running around in the wilderness hiding from us/Tupac Shakur faked his death and is hiding out on some island to this day/aliens from space are abducting people from their houses in the middle of their night as they sleep to probe their anguses before sending them back to bed on Earth, and questioning the man missioned moon landings.

The biggest thing to me to consider whether a conspiracy theory is even worth considering is to determine motives. What motive is there for there to be a cover up of giant ape creators named Bigfoot lumbering around nature constantly trying to hide from human sight? I can't think of why there would be one. It would just be another animal of the planet if it were actually verified. What motive would Tupac have had to fake his death? Dude was at the height of his career and was arguably getting just as into his acting career as his rap career when he died. But some believe a rich 25 year old celebrity decided to fake his own death to live in hiding for the rest of his life, nearly 25 years later now? At a very base level, CT's like those just don't make any sense, and indeed sound kooky.

Faking a manned moon landing in the late 1960's, though? The potential motives for that are pretty obvious. That was the height of the space race between the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. One of them being able to claim they pulled it off was a massive deal. Faking that and covering it up wouldn't have been nearly as difficult or required nearly as many people with inside knowledge to pull it off, either. Expectations of video proof were minimal then compared to modern standards, and the people in the control center wouldn't have even had to know. Faking the same radio chit to other nations wouldn't have been that hard, either. Not with the same difficulty they would today.

I'm not saying the manned moon landings were entitely fake. Maybe they weren't. However, I'm just saying, there is a lot of head scratching stuff about it that doesn't make much sense. The biggest one for me being that it baffles me that NASA apparently just lost/destroyed the plans/equations/science behind how they made a 1969 moon landing possible. I mean, really? Why would they just lose it? I get that it was based on outdated technology and things would be done a lot differently now, but why would getting back be so difficult today? I'm pretty sure that super computers these days would clown the calculating abilities of a bunch of nerds sitting in some government buildings writing equations by hand in the 1950's and 60's to figure out how to put humans on the moon and back.

Cliffs:

- Not all CT's are equally crazy kook level material
- Moon landing had lots of basic motives to fake it at the time
- Lots of questionable chit about the moon landings
- I'm not saying they were for sure faked, just that it's questionable

You're in Ireland. What would you know about going to the moon?

Anyone who blindly believes anything the government says or does is the low iq mouthbreather imo. That's not to say it didn't happen, but the average normie can never really know for sure either way.

Think about how cold space is. -440F at the least. Do you think that craft kept the astronauts alive in that type of cold?? We did not have Gore Tex or any super materials back then. The best insulator is still gray goose down and I do not believe they used that at all.
