Solar is booming in california because you can write that chit off on taxes, but i'm not going to be some door to door salesmen. I didn't even know people did that anymore. I guess you can attract a bunch of boomers but younger families aren't answering that door.

OP, what's your opinion on Tesla's solar roof shingles as opposed to the giant ass panels on people's houses? Those look way more aesthetic than the giant panels. My one neighbor has this nice ass house and it's ruined with these giant panels on the roof.
My uncle used to design custom solar panels for chits and gigs so I learned a bunch about it and even helped him work on a couple of projects.

This house has a ton of features too. Heated driveway, walkway, and sidewalk so they never shovel. They have automatic light sensors that adjust lighting levels and shades as needed. It has a house wide audio system so you can play music all over the house. It also has a paging system so you can call into peoples rooms from anywhere in the house as long as you go to the panels in each room. They have a wine cellar in the basement that is hidden, it's only accessible by moving the island in the kitchen to reveal a staircase that goes down. It has a a massive backyard thats modeled after Central Park, and there's a small shed in the back that's been fitted out to be an old classy bar, and when you move a bookshelf there's stairs down to a safe room, that connects back to the house with and underground tunnel. They have a double car lift in the garage which allows you to store a nice car while being able to park underneath it. It also has a powerbank that connects to the solar to provide power when there's outages, on top of a separate generator that can power the house, and it also has it's own dedicated fiber optic line underneath the house so even when the entire grid gets knocked out from trees, they still have power and internet. Probably the last feature is this massive ass custom sculpture in the front of the house. It's absolutely an incredible house and it's super beautiful, but when you look at it, it just totally looks fuggin stupid.Solar panels make for an absolute nightmare for home resale.
