These threads are always a mess. Every movie has an original score, but usually not an original soundtrack. Cleveland33 posted Batman 89. That had both an original score by Danny Elfman and an original soundtrack by Prince. They were two separate albums you could buy with music that was made specifically for that movie. Purple Rain also fits the bill.

Definitely Hans Zimmer.
Some lesser known ones:
Assassination of Jesse James...
Gattaca (definitely not as out there, but hits just as strongly, especially if you've seen the movie--the major songs fit the scenes so well)
The Fountain (the story was all right, but this movie shines in audio and visuals alone)
Arrival was also on point
Sunshine maybe had a few decent songs, but it at least had ONE good one

2014 Misc Resolution: Negging no pics (screen captures of text don't count as pics)

no Last of the Mohicans or Jurassic park yet? Son......
“The Misc. is a stone-faced Uncle Sam with Popeye’s forearms and a cocked pistol in each hand. It’s a screeching bald eagle with a foreign Bad Thing in its talons. It’s everything that defines America’s bro culture, magnified and weaponized. But it’s deeper than that.“

The entire pace of this movie was sooooooo well done. It's probablythe quintessential horror movie in modern times, and ticks off everything a horror movie needs and does, without all the cheap jump scares and super loud noise to elicit a reaction

Probably the most beautiful original song I've heard in a film.

I didn't really like this movie, but I will give it to you that they used the theme well, especially when used for the key scenes.
...yeah, I ended up liking the movie.

The most talented modern day composer imo was Johann Johannsson (Arrival/Sicario). Very sad loss.
Loved Michel Rubini's theme for Mann's Manhunter. Also Ben Salisbury & Geoff Barrow did a great job on Garland's Annihilation.

All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."
