Hes from Guatemala but when grows his beard he looks like snake. Give him tje trainers to jack him up and dietitian and hes ready to surprise. Hes imo the perfect casting.

Like all video game movies, it’ll suck.

Experiencing the story via control is different than simply watching it. A movie of the first MGS won’t be very interesting at all. The boss fights will be either removed, or cringe.

Heres the thing, previous video game movies have had first time directors or ****ty directors really. This movie has a legit director whos directed pretty damn good movies. Thats why I feel this movie can be epic if the rest of the casting is 100% good.

I did enjoy Mortal Kombat even though it was done by a chit writer/director, Paul WS Anderson (Alien vs Predator, Even Horizon, Resident Evil series)

Sonic the Hedgehog was decent

I did like the Tomb Raider movies starring Angelina Jolie. The director was Simon West (Con Air)

It’s probably gonna be an awful movie. It would take 6 movies to depict the Shadow Moses incident or Snake Eater or Peace Walker.

Also this guy doesn’t look like snake.

I guess if Kojima is involved there could be a chance it’s half decent.

Metal Gear Solid has also always been like THE franchise that was most like a playable movie, opposed to a game with cut scenes. The director is also better than anything so far (with possible exception of Warcraft movie, but I like this guy more).

But looking back at MGS, the main joy of them was the story / cut scenes, not the actual gameplay (at least in the original). I think it's going to need to be really self aware and not too realistic, but the director has shown he can pull that off well.

Yeah they are going to really need to dissect the story and condense it to a 2:30-3 hour movie. The good news is Dereck Connolly is gonna be the writer for the film and hes been involved in Jurassic world and Jurassic world fallen kingdom so that makes me feel good lol.

A lot of MGS fans disliked 5 because the story was abbreviated. I personally think it’s the best game in the franchise. So fun raiding Soviet base camps. Check it out, it’s regularly on Steam for like $6.
