btc block chain has been running 24/7 for over a decade straight with zero down time. Not only that but it allows you to send recieve money any where in the world without a central authority. Its unhackable, un seizable, undupable, and cant steal from others. Its borderless technology that allows you to take your money anywhere. All you need is to memorize 12 words and you can recover your money anywhere. Not only that its the most secure net work in the world. On top of all of that the technology is so advanced that lots of people dismiss it because they dont understand anything

imagine being in a third world or an illegal unable to open a bank account or even a citizen thatisnt allowed banking. You can be your own bank. CC companies wont take 3% of your money to your business. The government cant steal your money for disobaying it. And in btc terms its the hardest money in the world. Its deflationary and theres only 21 million coins that are made up each whole coin by 100 million satoshis equivalent to 100 pennies to a dollar. In the future when 100% adoption is achieved (currently at 1%) most people will only have a handful of satoshis. People will probably brag about ohaving a few thousand in the future because that will be a fk ton of money.

Blockchain is great but its success doesn't hinge on the price of BTC & ETH and it isn't why people are in crypto. People are into crypto because they think the price will go up and they can use that to make more $$$

It's understandable but it's fueled by greed and not everyone will win in the end, everyonecan'twin in the end. Funds go into crypto and funds come out of crypto, the only change is in the way it's distributed and winners are made by consolidating those funds from a larger pool of accounts into a smaller subset of accounts

Not every investment is speculative brah, you can buy and hold stonks for decades and rake in $$$ through disbursement of profits in the form of dividends without ever needing to sell. There are plenty of other assets you can buy that provide real value to the world while generating income.

Classic textbook scarcity scam. Fukk humans are stupid as fukk. How is no one pointing out this? just lol, everyone is falling for a scam, waht a clown show.
How is that different than failed fiat currencies? You could make the case USD is failing fiat with the amount being pumped in and inflation to keep it a float but here we are.

I don't think the mindset of limiting the possibilities to a digital world currency is that far off. Realistically that's where we'll be in 50+ years and we'll be dead(maybe). Problem is people, espeically Americans, are so short-sighted on futures it's amazing to watch.

Non-governmental control on how you use your money. Great example is what they're doing in Africa expanding to improve all the failed systems into one. Sure, you can omg New World Order on it if you want, but there is a serious lack of financial systems there and it's being provided by open networks. Combine that with Tesla's move to Starlink and whatever comes up in the future similar you can see the expansion to provide for 3rd world countries long forgotten.

Imagine espousing that BTC is valuable because its the future replacement for the $$$.

Only to measure that value in how many $$$$ you can eventually sell it for.

At some point you will never exchange btc for fiat. Obviously right now that’s what you compare it to

Lite coin is the same as BTC but faster and cheaper transactions , has 4x the coins so if it kept up with Bitcoin it could be £10000-15,000 per coin

It’s currently £170

Was £50 a year ago

Still early to get in
brb haven’t met one vaxcel who doesn’t get defensive or mad when you tell them you didn’t get it.

No “vax” for HIV after 40 years of research. No vax for cancer after 100 years of research. No vax for the common cold and yet a virus mysteriously appears and Within 12 months a “vax” is found by 4 pharma companies all within 1 week and we are mandated to take it ….

Isn't the fact that the value's constantly fluctuating so much a serious problem as far as practical use goes? How do you price goods (or anything really) in a currency that's so unstsble?

Is this whole thing really just a very elaborate sophisticated pump and dump ponzi scheme?

So you're saying it will stop increasing in value at some point? So by extension all the coincels are trying to cash out at maximum value but then wouldn't that make it drop in value again? Or do all the coincels plan on hodling forever at some point when everybody's using it as a normal means to buy and sell? What about the nocoincels at that point? Are they just shut out of the economy?

I’m not saying it will stop. It will for ever pump for ever since it’s deflationary. But at some point you won’t get crazy volatility which this last year it’s not as volatile as previous years so it’s already happening. Think of btc as a live organism. It’s age 12 now and as it matures so does the market. Depends on the holder. Some pekole cashing out at 100k or 1m. Not everyone will be strong. I plan on living off the interest snd using btc as collateral. In the future people will only have thousands of satoshis. Idk if you’ve ever played RuneScape but read this. This is my favorite analogy

You're telling me. I was mining dogecoin for the memes in 2013 while in college. Back when bitcoin prices were like $700. Don't know how much BTC I could've mined with a GTX 970 in 2013 but I'm sure it would've been far more than what's possible today in 2021 even with a RTX 3090.

Nothing you can do except look at the alt coins, invest in bitcoin presuming it can still multiply, or otherwise stay out of crypto entirely and do mutual funds / stocks and such.

EDIT:

Google tells me that back in the day in 2013, a 970 would've given something like 0.01 BTC per day. Jesus lmao, in today's prices that's like $500 a day.

It's not too late if it reaches 1 million. If you have $10k laying around, do it and forget it. You'd have $178k. Hell even $5k would net $90k.

However if you're a pleb it's different. Maybe invest a few hundred a month, even if it goes down. I hope it goes down LOL.

From what I understand you can buy a hardware wallet and store your btc on it, looks like keep you from getting hacked. Best and safest way for long run imo.

Lol you’re talking about storing on an exchange. If you store your own private keys in cold storage. You can’t get hacked....that’s why the net work is so secure

The bitcoin network has never been hacked. No funds held in a secure personal wallet has ever been seized. If you can produce a address collision on the sha 256 standard, i will give you all my bitcoins (i have enough to buy you and your family and their legacies out for a pittance of the overall).
