Definitely not terrible but it did seem like their focus was on producing "the type of music that good musicians produce" rather than actually producing good music.

I understand the OP. They have two killer albums, the rest of the discog is uneven.
But a lot of great bands have only 2-3 truly great albums, so I don't think it's fair to judge on the whole dicog. Some artists release a bunch of crap due to record label obligations...

Yes. Mayturd really fukt their vibe up after Lateralus. There are a couple good songs on 10k days that are quite good though.

His lyrics on the new album seem non-existent and I don't even care.

The rest of it is just regurgitated grooves and riffs from previous albums.

I listened to all 13 minutes of Descending last night and it sounds like a half assed Right In Two.

The most embarrassing part of this clip isn't the voice crack but his tantrum in response to it. ******* couldn't even finish the song.
