My dad gave me A LOT of ammo when my parents moved. Kind of funny to think how much more it is all worth now compared to the guns I have in those calibers. Has me looking for new guns in 270, 280, and 30-06 since I’ll never shoot all the rounds I have with the older family heirloom rifles collecting dust. Guess I could look to trade for more 9mm, 5.56, and 7.62 tho too.

Romanian SAR-3 is in 5.56. I have a SAR-2, its a nice AK. The SAR-1 is the same rifle in 7.62x39 Some of them had problems with canted sights, but other than that they are very good.

Romania makes top tier AKs. The SAR's are the semi civilian version of the Md.86

forgot also the trigger needs replacing usually by a good quality american one. Mine had wicked trigger slap from the factory, but an aftermarket trigger (forget the brand, it has adjustments by set screws) got rid of the slap.
