Whereas cheap and expensive Chinese joints are always good. Hotpot man, I can eat that **** every day won't get bored that quick. Stir-fries, ramen, teriyaki BBQ.

British food and women = a birth of a sea-faring nation.

The best charm of London = Asian wet slits and Asian food.
Yeah I mean like Michelin Star quality food, not overpriced pasta. Totally worth going to a tasting menu once in a while.

I tried fish and chips from a couple of different places when I was in the UK and was not a fan. English breakfast with the black pudding is really damn good though and I was surprised at the quality of the beef. Much better than I expected. Those long hair cows are pretty damn tasty. The kabab shop I tried was really good too. Other than those 3 things everything else was significantly worse than the US version. Next time I go I wanna spend some time in Scotland since I hear they like to fry stuff and try some haggis to see how it compares to boudin

Doesn’t the average American live like 1000 miles from any ocean. What fish are you even eating? Lol. No matter where you live in the UK you’re never more than 72 miles from the sea. Fish and chips in the UK is great because the fish is great. Fresh cod or haddock. My local also makes chips from potatoes grown a few miles from the shop.

Also, fish and chips works best when that’s all they make as the oil takes on the taste of the food. Like Chinese restaurants where the oil takes on all the spices. You can’t replicate it. If you go to a pub or restaurant it’s not the same.

Pubs and restaurants probably won’t chip their own potatoes in a potato chipper either like fish and chip shops do. They probably buy frozen chips which don’t have the same taste or texture.

Im laughing thinking about Americans eating frozen chips and some weird American fish caught in a river a month ago in Oklahoma or somewhere and thinking that’s fish and chips. Meanwhile we brits are eating fresh Atlantic cod and fresh squidgy chips.

I just wish chip shops still used beef dripping instead of garbage vegetable oil, the odd one does and it's so much better

99% of American food is pure chit, with elephantine portion sizes hence the huge fat PHUCKS destroying the place

I’m sure it’s nice. But there’s something very satisfying about food fish and chips. Not every chip shop is good. Have to find an old school shop. I think many American tourists eat in London in greasy fast food places that aren’t that good. Or in pubs which charge huge amounts for small portions.

Don’t know about the Atlantic being polluted. British seafood is meant to be great due to the cold waters. Most of it is sold and exported to France and Italy. I think the worst fish to eat is fish caught in rivers as they pick up parasites.
