Who, though, is a lot more complicated. Its not just salary or skills, should we really be taking skilled doctors and nurses from other countries like Portugal that paid to train them? Shouldnt we be training our own people not stealing other countries?

Although, no one commits to a number and is honest if he/she believes it should be zero - that is acceptable as well
I just don't see any solid opinions of import only X at Y circumstances with Z capabilities
this is also confusing in higher-wage labour - isn't there wage suppression there theoretically as much as lower wage? again, not sure if 0 is the right answer
additionally, no one seems to comment on how it has been always and currently is dominated by non-EU, even adjusted for those that are students and are probably leaving afterwards
from my point of view, there are two aspects two the brain-drain argument
- if a country trains a citizen that doesn't mean it owns them - that is a communist type of thinking. British workers, doctors, nurses go to work abroad all the time as well whether it is for better socioeconomics or just for the sake of it
it makes sense for people to do whatever they want (as long as the people of the host country have voted that it works for them of course)
- even if they wanted to, a lot of countries do not have the money/infrastructure to train doctors nurses or another type of workers, it would mean reducing other things which will cause trouble in another aspect of the lives of british populace
whether you believe a stupid dole White British should be pampered by corporate or NHS until he/she is suitable to work before even CONSIDERING importing someone foreign is another story I guess
communist until you get rich
rightwing until financially secure
atheist until the plane starts falling
slootist until you get married
muslim after you get married
