Very sad to read this.

I hope this isn't some Liberal ploy to cancel The Office though...

So they didn’t get flagged by a background check because they have previously committed a crime?

You know that it couldn't be that hard to check if someone is prescribed, or has been prescribed, a SSRI within the last year.

Just create a form for people purchasing guns to complete allowing access to their past 13 months prescription history.

Pharma would hate it, but too bad.

Because of that whole “shall not be infringed” thing in the constitution, and the fact that the Dems won’t stop there. If you give them an inch, they’ll take a mile.

If the past four years has shown us anything, it’s that you cannot reason with the modern left.

I for 1 am a great person, have great friends, and i take care of every one that is in my life and i am glad to do it, and for that i have people that love me around me. also, indian parents are one of the best parents you can have. sometimes they can be really strict, but they will take care of you no matter what, and they will buy you what ever it is that you need. as long as your not a selfish ****head. Also, we all have great jobs, lots of money and a family that we all love and take care off. suck my dick op suck my dick.

Yeah that definitely would stop people from seeking help for their mental health. Particularly Vets with PTSD.

Also fukking LOOOL at not anticipating how hard it would be to get medical info like that. How tf you gonna trace it? There isn't a universal prescription databank. I could go to some podunk clinic in the middle of nowhere and claim my name is Ralph Loren and have them send an RX to whatever independent pharmacy and pay cash with no one being the wiser. Unless you called that specific provider office or that specific pharmacy and gave the proper fake name/dob no one would know what you got. Even if you used your real name and DOB you'd still have to go directly to the source to get any info. Only meds with a database whatsoever is for controlled substances and those are state specific databases- I don't even think every state has a database either.

Plus, think about how many Americans are currently prescribed SSRI/SNRI/MAOi/NDRI's for "depression"? The vast majority of Americans would be eliminated from even owning a firearm.

Incels are the biggest threat since males can get destructive quickly and since they haven't tasted the simple and sweet pleasures in life (sugar walls) they have nothing to lose.

I mean imagine being those poor ****** they're socially at the bottom of the ladder in a foreing society that values everything they're not, they're not given any purpose in life or sense of community since our hyperconsumerist hypersexualized society values vanal and frugal things above all else, that' why according to their incredibly narrow and naive world view they had nothing to live for. If our society had a bit less rotten core values they could have "abandoned" their life trough selfless sacrifice like volunteering or helping others but no.

That's why we need a serious solution to the whole "incel problem" and no, making prostitution wont solve the issue as the biggest problem incels fase is not the lack of poon but the lack of "love" and community and self esteem.

Again, thanks capitalism!
The United States breeds these types of people. It’s everything from consumerism to hyper sexualization, to media. It seems like in Europe and elsewhere people are more grounded and understand life and themselves. They don’t go postal so easily.

But yeah, I’m just thinking about how these lunatics could have went to their local mall and done a fuk ton of damage.

Lmao. I used to think like that. Remember the whole sandy hook thing? Some of the stuff that happen was super suspicious like this. For example the kids writing cards to ban guns.

In all honesty, guns should be banned. It makes public shootings like this more rare.

And in all honesty, guns were made legal back then to protect the colonizers from the natives who are going to take back the land whitecels took to be relevant with China.

I am a firearms dealer, you go through a background check and it's run by the FBI NICS. These guys being so young didn't pop on the radar, unfortunately. It's pretty hard to make a system than can deal with people who one day out of the blue just snap like this. Just like it'd be impossible to keep someone like this from getting behind the wheel of a car and intentionally driving into the other side of the lane at 60mph and causing deaths that way.

What isn't helping is young people's massive mental trauma from year long lockdowns or big pharm owning the medical professionals and throwing drugs around like candy.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I get the push back on the SSRI thing, but there COULD be a tracking system of those prescriptions, just as there is for controlled substances in most states.

Also:

- SSRIs are not the only type of mental health care available

- only a temporary restriction

SSRIs are helpful sometimes for some people, but they are prescribed like they are as harmless as an aspirin.
Antidepressants are supposed to work by fixing a chemical imbalance, specifically, a lack of serotonin in the brain. Indeed, their supposed effectiveness is the primary evidence for the chemical imbalance theory. But analyses of the published data and the unpublished data that were hidden by drug companies reveals that most (if not all) of the benefits are due to the placebo effect. Some antidepressants increase serotonin levels, some decrease it, and some have no effect at all on serotonin. Nevertheless, they all show the same therapeutic benefit. Even the small statistical difference between antidepressants and placebos may be an enhanced placebo effect, due to the fact that most patients and doctors in clinical trials successfully break blind.
In most cases of depression, psychotherapy, antidepressant medications (such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), or a combination of both are prescribed to help treat symptoms. However, only one third of people with depression benefit from the antidepressant that they are prescribed.
Seventy-nine percent (333/420) of the depressed patients assigned to placebo did not relapse, compared to 93% (1074/1154) of the depressed who were prescribed SSRIs
But what happens when people want to stop taking these medications [SSRIs]? The thinking in the medical community was that patients could wean off these drugs with minor side effects, but anecdotally, many patients have reported troubling mental and physical withdrawal symptoms that last for months or even years. Finding a lack of support from prescribers as they figure out how to stop the drugs, many people have turned to online forums for advice—where some report they’ve resorted to opening pill capsules to remove a few beads, in a DIY effort to reduce their dosages more gradually.

Now, new research backs up the idea that for many people, antidepressant withdrawal might be a bigger problem than most have realized.

“The idea that these side effects last a couple of weeks is outrageously inaccurate,” says John Read, PhD, a professor of clinical psychology at the University of East London. “Withdrawal effects aren’t rare, they aren’t short-lived and they’ve been dismissed by drug companies for decades.”
https://www.apa.org/monitor/2020/04/...ntidepressants

If an increase is "serious adverse events" means stuff like murder/suicide then being a little more cautious about prescribing them/taking them seems sensible.

This is the study that really bashes the SSRI txmt:
