If I knew what I know now about an upcoming pandemic I would have done just as much travelling. I’ve learned life truly is about life experiences. Material items are just supposed to help make those experiences better but the actual items themselves don’t matter at all.

Studying abroad if in school. I went to Costa Rica. Regret not going to Italy for another semester.

Besides solo traveling in hostels which has been recommended....
Solo or group cross country overnight camping.I did it for 1 night and it was the most peaceful and yet eerie thing I've done. But if you go solo make absolutely sure you have water/food/fire starter/knife/proper clothing and preferably a firearm of some type. And research the location to be aware of any hazards.
I was more worried about humans to be honest, because a coworker told me about how some hermit shot at them while they went gold panning in the norcal mountains. The feels you get when the sun goes down and there's not a single light around besides your fire is pretty tense. I think it activates something primal in you.

Will likely end in disaster ofc but it’s worth it.

The hostel crowd right now is much more narcissistic and there are more personality issues. As well as a higher age. Fewer people at hostels who are totally normal, as most people traveling right now are the type who just don't give a single fuk about COVID, and are looking to escape something. I wish I had realized this earlier before getting close with some of them, although it's still an experience.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Long time lurker. Didn't see mine, so I made an account to say: Experience a total eclipse. Worth the effort to see once in your life.

It was cool back then but after that no thanks Jose.
Anyway aren’t you wealthy from commercial real estate sales? Why don’t you stay at the Four Seasons or something. That is so much more enjoyable. Or maybe I have you confused with another miscer idk.

However, I know people who manage to meet plenty of people while staying in hotels. I probably should try to work on my social skills so they reach a point where I can make friends anywhere, as I am getting toward the older end for hostels and should have the skill to meet people anywhere by now.

Or just go hiking on a sunny day on LSD once.
Will really change your perception of life in general. Very srs. Stopped drinking after that because it just seemed like a waste.
