Besides protein, red meat is a great source other stuff (like zinc, iron, etc), no doubt. But you can still get it from other sources, that's also true... Eggs and cheese, for example, would be a great way to cover much of that.

I haven't been eating it as much as i used to, tbh. It's not only the fact that is more expensive and harder to find good/lean cuts, nothing new there, but i have to confess that sometimes it's also harder for me to stomach processed kinds (ground beef, burgers) when i think about who messed with it and how. Also cows seem pretty cool, lol. Something i never cared about...

I do get a lot a lot of dairy in, though. All kinds of cheeses, yogurts and similar stuff. I think i could survive only on that, as animal protein source(s).
