I get it. Start dating and find out they're neurotic or worse, anxiety ridden, broke, slutty. Lots of disqualifiers. It's a shame too when the sex is really good.

It depends. If the girl is looking for something serious and I can tell, then I'm more direct with them and keep the ball in their court if they still want to get together.

Sometimes the "relationship" just slowly turns into a FWB situation. Stop going on dates, stop texting during the week, then literally just "Hey wanna come over tonight? Be home at like 10pm then got work in the morning" type deal.

I don't think you ever officially dump them, you just invest less time and resources into them than when you saw them as a potential long term relationship. Some just catch on faster than others as to what's going on.
