You're probably still logged in. Try that link in incognito mode, and you won't see misc there.

My theory is that they just don't want to have to moderate the forum anymore. If you hide it from the public and have a "warning" before entering then you can kind of ease up on the moderation. I say this because I noticed it taking longer and longer for posts that are against the rules to be dealt with, people not really being banned anymore etc. This let's me know were down to like 1 mod.
