I LOVE CC and I agree from a technical standpoint, but the emotionality and distinctiveness of Layne's vocals gives him a slight edge for me. His voice cannot be replicated.

Jerry Cantrell’s solo debut was very good indeed. Good call brah. The music video for “Cut You In” was pretty funny then. Made me laugh just not as much as Primus and Wynonna’s Big Brown Beaver.
