this is the type of chit that can happen when you behave that way. they were what in middle school? some people at least have youth/ignorance which usually comes in pairs as an excuse.

wow her ground game needs a lot of work. shes more of a stand up and judo type fighter. got over confident and coasted on her early lead. She should have maintained position on top and launched a blitz strike to laquandras face, this strategy would have not allowed monique time to counter or grab her hair. She doesnt seem to have much power so ashante just ate those shots, but with speed she still could have overwhelmed her. This is where the refs did a good job and didnt stop the fight too early. Some schoolyard refs would jump in after the first take down and declare becky the winner but monesha had more fight left in her and dominated the second half of the fight, using her strength to regain position on the top and finally put her mass to use in the ground and pound to finish out the round.

becky still got some good instincts and never gave up. she knew she had her legs to do something, they could make contact with both eishas face and body, she knew there was potential to regain control so you could see her trying to do something with them but she lacked any formal jujitsu training to pull it off.

more boxing fan than mma so still learning the history but yeah on reddit too people talking about becky attempting the upkick

turns out it is a rare highly advanced MMA striking move which only two fighters in history ever completed and 16 year old untrained becky almost pulled it off





if the fight went on for another 60s i think lamesha would have tired and left her self exposed to receive the 3rd upkick ko in history
