I believe the reason dems are fighting this tooth and nail is because they fear the findings will result in voter ID laws.

i'm still optimistic anything interesting will come of this other than dead people and people who didn't even know they voted casting votes, and of course illegals voting.
which is what we already knew was happening.

but I'm hopeful at least some holes in the process end up getting filled in time for the next election.
And I would really be surprised if we see the same anomalies in the audited states again.

Fair points but I will start with paragraph number 1. Didn't we find out that cdc messaging was controlled, not by the science alone, but was politicicized by the white house for pre election damage control!?

The real work being done that the media is either missing or ignoring is the canvassing. They're not just auditing ballots, they're going door to door and asking people if they actually voted. Those results are what will really be interesting.

I think there is more to come regarding that particular point and others. What was it, 10 months later that was confirmed?
Also the lab theory the left slammed him about at the time? I don't subscribe to the notion of conspiracies etc. That being said, Trump was obviously being fed information contained to him only that was quickly buried and now being "found" that was overlooked early on by the intelligence community and buried within the piles of collection.

I don't deny he downplayed the thing, the entire government did. Each and every one of them failed us on messaging and the most effective planning and execution.

Plain and simple there was enough information known to seal off the vulnerable and let the rest of us get the sniffles (meaning individually take precautions).

We did it wrong and politics was the downfall. Overall the federal government did and continues to do a good job they are simply there for emergent supplies. They have executed faithfully under both parties.
