Whether he directly killed floyd or not honestly doesn't matter. Kneeling on someone's neck for 9 mins is fuking deranged. If you willfully and malevolently take an action that could very likely kill someone, and they die of something else, you aren't off the hook.

That seems to be the disconnect here.

Was there even any damage to homies airway? Any signs of suppressed breathing other than taking a metric ton of drugs that suppress your breathing?

But I guess it’s moot, a cop gets 22 years and a career criminal is off the streets forever.

Steep price to pay to make the world just a little safer.

Steep price? The murderer is still alive and the "criminal" is dead.

He kneeled on a guy's neck for 9 mins. This wasn't some great cop. He had a history of excessive force complaints.

How did He Murder him Again?

Cause of death?

“Criminal” .. you mean.. criminal.

A life long criminal, drug user, deadbeat dad, and woman abuser.

But please do keep acting like he was a gentleman’s gentleman.

according to wiki His final autopsy findings, issued June 1, found that Floyd's heart stopped while he was being restrained and that his death was a homicide caused by "cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression".

so thats the official answer, anything else is speculation.

Trial covered this though. Medical examiner's ruling does not = legal determination of cause of death

The jury found him guilty mostly (I believe) because of the Irish doctor's testimony at trial

right, might not be the legal determination, but its what they made the official cause, therefore everything else is speculation unless they change the official cause. He could have died from the drugs, but thats not the official cause of death so we are speculating that the drugs caused his death.

It's not ok.

And it's actually the reason he got convicted. Jurors don't actually care how he died. The point is they condemn Chauvin's behavior.

hopefully he'll get life upcoming federal trial. And similar sentences to his "cop friends" who watched him sit on a handcuffed man's neck for almost 10 minutes.

As long as it’s not a criminal being served justice, they are all about it.

But that’s ok, karma seems to hit these idiots in the long run and they have their eyes opened to what supporting criminals gets you.

Unfortunately it usually means an innocent person, either them or someone close to them, has to suffer or worse, die.

The medical examiners opinion is just that, it's his interpretation but not the only interpretation.

I find it odd that the examiner lists "subdual, restraint and neck compression" as the primary complication of death.

Did he list other complications? Was "subdual, restraint and neck compression" the primary complicating factor? What are you more likely to die off, "subdual, restraint and neck compression" due to racist police or ******** overdose by way of Chinese warfare?

I wish I was on that jury lol, I would probably "incite" a riot.

You seem to be confused. Chauvin is a criminal. Duly convicted and sentenced. Sorry, the justice system’s view on criminality isn’t based on your feelings.

Resisting arrest isn't a free pass for the police to cuff you up and then murder you.

Pretty sure they found him guilty because jurors were more concerned about their personal safety than the verdict.

A bit light, but better than I was expecting.

Are you guys gonna focus on this sentencing, or cry in a new thread when he gets convicted of tax fraud and gets more years?

How is 22.5 years a bit light? Anyway, 22.5 years really means 11.25 years.

Kneeling was in the handbook. Some argued it’s safer than kneeling on their back. There was absolutely no proof that the knee to the neck restricted his breathing. Specially since he was saying “I can’t breathe” before they even touched him.

What it seems like is he probably was having trouble breathing hence why he said it. The arrest exasperated it, having covid, enlarged heart, fetanyl on his system did not help. And if he was arrested any other way, knee or no knee, he woulda ended up dead unless the ambulance got there sooner.

Is that murder? Should police let everyone go who says “I can’t breathe”? I honestly wouldn’t mind if they put that into the rules, Id at least know how to get out of an arrest in the future, would just like to know the rules.

Police used to run with a confession to the D.A.

Now when police receive a confession they will not accept it without corroborating evidence.

They do this because they do not expect juries to understand nuances of the case, they expect the jury to hear he confessed and nothing else.

You might think I'm saying the police care about convicting innocent people but I'm not.

I'm saying the police do not want to be questioned on appeal.

If you confess, they will ask you to convict yourself now lol.

Juries are composed of the same people who majorly took a vaccine they know nothing about.

Now some of these people are finding out they took the "wrong" vaccine.

These people are not our best folks lol.
