Camping lanterns and flashlights. Preferably the kind you can recharge by solar since batteries might not be available.

Waterproof matches.

Compact multi tool.

Can opener.

Generator to keep your fridge/freezer going.

Extra fuel.

If there’s a nuclear war, you better have a bomb shelter or basement otherwise you’ll be toast regardless.

Get out of dodge, don’t be in big cities. Lol at people buying properties where they can see their neighbor.

You don’t necessarily need a bunker. People in hiroshima and nagasaki survived by being inside a concrete built building....and these people were close to the blast.

Bump for preppers

I also wanted to add cd player with recorded best hits. Want to have some music to listen to during apocalypse or harsh times.

Have actually been looking into weapons for home defense that aren't guns. Came up with a broadsword/katana and a bow (because I can actually shoot one). Besides a decent knife as well or a metal baseball bat, anything else I could consider?

Honestly though if I knew a nuke was coming I'd head towards it, not away. I don't want to live in a post-nuclear world and would rather just get vaporized.

You could wrap barbwire around the bat negan style.

Good call on the sword
