Is Florida burning down or something? Is their economy in shambles? Last I check Cali and New York were on life support. With these post I'd figure Texas and Florida were needing bail outs and nobody wanted to live there, because it's completely destroyed by Covid. Maybe someone can catch me up.

The democRATs after taking power quickly pushed through a bill to have the rest of the US taxpayers bail out CA and NY for their irresponsible tax-and-spend behavior over many decades. The media didn't cover it and the GOP made hardly a whimper about it. Don't care much about the politics anymore, but you look like an idiot firing back at someone while your state is surging in cases. Obviously it shows some strength of power because he probably wants to run in 2024, but to the average level headed independent, this looks kind of ridiculous. If it was working, then yeah fire away at how ridiculous it looks. But when it's not, you need to stop. Because no doubt this gets brought up in a debate in 2024 along the lines of "DeSantis doesn't care about the people, look when he tried to go after Biden, while his people were dying of COVID, and he did nothing". And again, show of strength to republicans, but will come back to bite him at some point.

“Across our six hospitals in the Tampa Bay region, we’re well over 300 patients now,” said Doug Ross, the company’s chief medical officer. “That is exceeding our past surges entirely and it’s continuing to grow.”

There have been four consecutive days of record hospitalizations, during which an additional 7,223 new patients were admitted for COVID-19.

Bayfront on Wednesday reported 41 in-house COVID-19 patients, 16 of whom are in the intensive care unit. Roughly 90 percent of those are unvaccinated, the hospital reported.
