European cars are not good quality. BRB, transmission needs to be replaced at 40k miles, then again at 100k miles. BRB, 6 unnecessary sensors need to be replaced, fuel lines clogged, piston rings wearing out at 50,000 miles.

This is exactly why I tell everyone to stay the hell away from German cars. Americans refuse to pay for expensive maintenance and a large minority won't even take it to the dealership if the maintenance is fee. You could just buy a new and keep up with the maintenance but you'll get fukd on the resell/trade in because they lose so much value because no one else does the maintenance on theirs

My classic car (1972) hasn't even had a full transmission rebuild, just a revision of gaskets fluids etc. And it's Italian with a transmission known for being very sensitive to wear and tear.

I had to buy a new door handle for my VW because the sensor in it fried and the fuking car would beep at me every 5 minutes. There was no way to just turn off the warning message. Everything fuking worked, the only thing that was actually broke was proximity sensor keyless entry but the remote button still locked/unlocked the car just fine. The car was completely operable besides loss of proximity for opening the door with your keys in your pocket. But wouldnt stop beeping.

Its a horrible design because 1 bad sensor drops the whole system instead of being able to use the working sensors. and there is NO way to turn off the fuking error messages and beeping. I bought a new door handle just to make my car stop beeping. The sensor is integrated into the handle so you have to buy a whole handle, no way to just replace the sensor. Oh and new handles dont come painted, you have to get some body shop to paint match them. I found a used one that looks close enough to my color. So fuking stupid.

Those fuking smooth brains in germany managed to fuk up both the hardware design AND the software design for something so simple as keyless entry. IDK how toyota designs theirs but I know its not as fuked up as this.
