Didn't buy the last BF because the Devs told me not to.

Lol'd @ no campaign. Wtf?
I always really enjoy playing a campaign and getting used to the controls while getting attached to the setting. Also, I don't play anything online on Playstation currently so if I want to enjoy battlefield in any way, I have to essentially pay double to get online as well.

EDIT: E.g. the campaign in COD:Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, COD Infinite Warfare, Medal of Honour 1&2, BFBC2, COD BO2, BF3 and BF4 (to a lesser extent) were all good and enjoyable. COD and BF games should ALWAYS have campaign as well as multiplayer. It should just be a standard formula, so stop with your lies about "1%".
P.S. BF 2042 without a campaign will be like having a living room with a table and a television but no sofas. "Hey dude, where are the sofas?!"

Downloaded and installed the beta. Launched it to finish everything and see what the main menu looked like, though it doesn't let you get passed a screen, nothing really to do yet. It does present a message which implies that, by default, the open beta is actually cross play. So we'll be playing with PC/PS5/XSX people during it. Pretty cool, looking forward to that. Got some friends who have either the Series X, or PS5, or PC, and I'm personally primarily a PC gamer, so it'll be good to reconnect with some folks I used to game with that I can't now.

Played ~40 minutes on PC so far.
Graphics are great.
Lots of functionalities are missing for me, even double checked keybindings to make sure I'm not dun goofing. There's no means to talk to people, can't type chat or voice chat - as their buttons are non-functional. Can't view the map except when you're dead and respawning. Can't seem to spot enemies, or make call outs for your squad. Stuck with specific loadouts, can't try out anything but 1 weapon from each category. Have a weird glitch where the game randomly, even with no mouse/keyboard action, decides to kick me back to the desktop screen, and minimizes the game, so I have to go back to application. Frustrating when I'm running up on someone, or in the middle of some gun play. I'm playing with full screen so I don't know why that's happening. Feels like there's a delay of sorts and inaccuracy with the hitboxes. There's a building with several elevators, and they're definitely glitched. When you use it, and go up or down, the doors open and immediately close, so you think you're stuck but instead you can actually just walk through the doors as if they're still open lmao.
Some of the above might be due to the servers getting swamped, IDK.
I'll try again a little later.

Alright two hours into BETA I will be the first to declare Best Battlefield EVERMADE.
Yea it has glitches no duh its a Beta. But nothing and I mean nothing can compare to the fun. Not even Halo.
I just bought the basic version going to legit contact customer service and upgrade to top of the line premium special edition package

Pretty legit just played for 30minutes looking forward to playing more friday and saturday. Codcucks and battle royale phaggotsget pwned. Will be interesting to see how the viewership of all these "warzone pros" drops in the toilet as they wont be able to transfer over to the GOAT FPS franchise.

Yeah this game is worse than BF4 so far
Just a big empty map with nothing going on, there is none of that chaos of being in a war that BF4 had
Graphics are Ok but bland.
Was not impressed at all

I'm liking it. Lol at folks who said the graphics are bad guns have no recoil. I'm experiencing the opposite. And with the dual sense controller, it's just that much better.
Only downside seems to be map design imo, doesn't feel like there's 64 enemies on the map. I did manage to run into 3 and 4 enemies at different times

I have always been a Tank Crew 24/7 Guy in Battlefield games my main complaint about the tank in 2042 is that the cannon blast shots have zero radius damage. Unless you basically headshot people it does not hurt or kill them, or even make them move from the explosion. Even in BF1 you would get radius and splash damage. They need to fix that asap.

Played a little of the beta. Seems fun but not sure about the map so far. Feels massive and not seeing as many enemies compared to previous BF's. Or you spawn on top of the building and then get spawn raped by ace pilots. Anyone else noticing the parachute bug which is funny to see. When a person lands the chute is still deployed sometimes and you can see them hiding behind stuff because the chute is giving them away. At times the game looks really nice like the foliage and the water but then other times its looks really fake or just too clean like some of the buildings and interiors.

My personal opinion of the beta:
It definitely has BF4 vibes, which is what the series needed. I really enjoy the on the fly weapons modding, but it's more of a nice to have than a need to have. I never felt like "wow, I really could use a 10X right now" or something playing previous games. Graphics are very nice and it's easy to see everything,
I don't really like that they followed Call of Doody with the tactical run (even though it's infinite in beta), and reloading while aiming, but maybe features like that are inevitable in FPS games. Also, the "Enemy team has map majority" banner is stupid phucking annoying and needs to be toned down. Teammate indicators overhead need to be enhanced, it was hard at times to tell who was friend or foe.
