Like anything else, people who make it their entire identity are annoying. I’ve had some interesting realizations on them but mostly it’s just a good time with friends hiking and laughing at everything.

Edit: I never bought into the enlightenment part either. It’s a very interesting time if done right and it will leave you on the other side knowing you aren’t the center of the universe, but it’s not like some of those super obsessed people make it out to be.
