Can you explain what the fascination with plain clothes is about? As mentioned above, I do wear plain vests and I don't care. But plain everything everyday? Seems a bit much.

edited it again, but i'll put it here. all my plain tees cost about $10 each as well. never understood the extra cost for plains some designers charge lol.

Yeah my job has me in a button up, chinos, and some sort of shoe nicer than a sneaker. Usually do dress boots. That's changing soon though as it's pretty lax, and i'll be riding a moto to work nearly every day...so back to plain tees lmao

Plain 24/7 is how i'm most comfortable, with large logos/designs I feel like a bit of a tryhard, and i imagine most people here disagreeing with you feel the same. I'm not advertising for the company, and most designs don't appeal so why would i wear them if i don't like em, y'know. I think I have one shirt with a large design, and it's a big pitbull puppy yawning across the front of a black shirt. And I only wear that one because i have a black pitbull lmao

Plain is just more aesthetic for not only clothing but a lot of things

A clean, plain interior for a house design as opposed to a cluttered house with gaudy wall paper - You want the architecture, and interior finishings like hardwood or baseboard to stand out not a ton of random chit like pointless furniture or ornaments to take away from this

A clean website with a ton of white space as opposed to a cluttered one with too many images that take away from the function of the site

Clothing should be minimalistic, simple and serve simply as a way to accentuate your face/physique- too much noise takes away from this and puts the focus on the clothing not the person

I swear I go up 2 points wearing a plain black T as opposed to a T with a big NIKE logo on it or something

Yeah, that perplexes me aswell. Glad your plain shirts aren't expensive, most of the guys on here are showcasing really expensive plain stuff. Confusing.

Ofcourse, despite the usual notion that "large logo/designs" means a tryhard, I'm the opposite of that as I don't mind criticism. I guess I'm the anomaly lol.

I agree to an extent, your shirt with the pitbull puppy reinceforces my message. Not to be overly dramatic/selective with clothes. To not dress identical to one another, ie, copy and paste or copying what you see online. Kind of silly really.


Be original and don't spend horrendous amounts on an outfit, especially an outfit that all your friends wear. (I only buy expensive suits/jackets/shades. Sub £10 for everything else.)

Well, I'm not sure what shirts you're talking about when you say "cluttered with images". I'm under the impression that you're thinking of some marvel/cartoon/picture of landscape shirt? I'm talking about the random ones at markets, e.g, what teenagers back in 2010 wore? (Ie, completely random?) Those Jersey Shore shirts from early seasons? (Using these as examples as I'm certain u know what I'm saying)

I guess, but your comment on "accentuating face" is very specific. That's like intricate marketing skills with their preferred products at different eye levels for profits. Extremely subtle man.

Why do people care so much about fashion? I'm literally always in workout clothes, or wearing a hanes t-shirt form walmart and jeans. Of course, I dress up when I actually go out to a restaurant or event, otherwise I rather be comfortable. (Ded fkn Srs)

That's kind of my point. However a thread dedicated to the topic sounds contradicting (lol).

As said above, guys really shouldn't be so fixated on designer clothes/what the media wears. That's what women do. Guys are meant to be brawned out wearing clothes with the purpose of covering their bodies. Over here I find myself picking up a random shirt from my cupboard...and wearing it! Not scouring your friend groups, seeking advice on social media, finding "outfits" etc.

Such feminine girly guys out here.

Been wearing plain black/white t’s since the 90’s. I quit caring about brand or any logos when I left high school. I basically have two or three uniforms lol.

If I'm in gym, or day off, or grocery store, or other non important things, I'm in track pants and a black t-shirt, or gym shorts, or straight up pajamas. idgaf



This is pretty much the only thing I wear (NEVER ripped jeans though) if I'm going out, except different shoes on rotation, and jeans are shorts in the summer.

Form fitting(Not skin tight), dark, neutral colors gives you the most flexibility when it comes to the only real clothes that matter, which are shoes and jacket.
H&M T's cost $6-10 - Jeans $29.99 Shorts like $15. I pretty much buy these in bulk, and getting dressed is pretty much automated.
