I'm not here to claim that it's better than Sicario, but if you enjoyed it you'll likely enjoy Shot Caller. (Seems a common thread in these movies in Jon Berenthal)

I don’t think she was annoying, and I think she’s a god actress. She was part of the operation because she was expendable, they made that clear when they asked if she had a family. They didn’t actually need the sloot’s help. They just needed the FBI attachment for a domestic operation. Also her getting destroyed by Bernthal is exactly how men vs women would go, every single time. This movie went against the Hollywood grain of “women can kick the **** out of two men twice their size”! I already forgot the name of the movie but the new Tom Clancy one with Michael B Jordan. Yep I turned it off during the intro scene when there was a sloot embedded on a SEAL team.

There is still a mystique surrounding the cartels in Mexico/Border states despite how much information is readily available about them. It has CIA/FBI/Special Ops in it, something us guys really like, good music, bad ass actors. It has everything a good action movie needs.

For any book readers here I HIGHLY recommend "The Power of the Dog" by Don Winslow. It, and it's two sequals are all about the conflict of drug cartels and drug enforcement officials in Mexico. The first two books are absolutely spectacular.

I am friends with ex green berets/marine recon and one is in the DEA and can confirm that sicario is actually extremely accurate and realistic. The pace and everything was very representative of what its like in these federal task forces and joint work with the spec ops military units

Really really want them to make the 3rd movie in the series. Not going to hold my breath though.

I've seen Day Dia Solado 2 times, the original about 5 or 6 times. incredible movie.
