They are doing everything in their power to get people back to work... the price of everything has skyrocketed, while your money buys you less. The poor are not gonna make it.

Lazy bums got $15k from unemployment and now think they’re rich af living like leeches

I have news for those boyos, $15k is fcking chump change. Give it a year and every city will be like tent city Portland

But the thing is, tiny hat people have already thought of all this. Nothing happens by mistake, this is exactly what the elite wanted. More jobs will be eliminated/automated with people unwilling to work, then when government tendies run out for the lazy bums, they’ll have no way to make money increasing poverty and disparity rate

The people on these subreddits are mostly losers. Think of people who barely graduated highschool, smoke pot, did a ton of drugs in their 20's and now have nothing to show for it. The total opposite of what you want to be.

You have to work, it's just figuring out a way to work and get the most out of it across all aspects (time vs money, learning, etc)

Unaware but not surprised. The pandemic has wrecked the structure of society as we know it, all part of the great reset. The government’s decision to pay people not to work may have been the most damaging one of all. They gave the poor and working class a taste of what it is like to live life on easy mode and they fking loved it.

Imagine living in poverty, paycheck to paycheck, hating every waking moment of your existence, rotting at a miserable dead end job, and then all of a sudden you’re no longer required to earn your measly dollars. They’re handed to you for nothing and at a far greater rate than before. No questions asked. Most of these people have no skills, training or ambition. Now that they know what it is like to live comfortably, they will never go back.

I’ll even admit I was happier during the lockdowns getting paid more than I made working. Unemployment was netting me the equivalent of ~$25/hr while I make ~$17/hr at my job, but for all the chit talking, I do still believe work gives one dignity and I returned as soon as able, around mid-2020. But regardless, we’re fuked.

The name of the subreddit itself makes no sense. Antiwork - surely this means those lazy kunts dont want to work and get handed free stuff. I guess most of them are immature young college or high school kids that havent really worked for a corporate.

I think these wagies are smarter than they think. Automationmaxxing is going to destroy most service sector jobs by 2030, and with a govt addicted to printing money, they will just give all the unemployed wagecels bennies indefinitely. Rona unemployment is going to become the new norm/10.

Maybe because the wages don't even come close to matching the cost of living? Most people making much more than minimum wage and still barely make it bill to bill. Don't give me that "living beyond means" chit either.

Everything inflates, except what most of these places want to pay their workers.. that eventually causes the situation we're in. Not to mention not giving their employees health insurance, with how much just a simple doctor visit in the ****ing country costs.

That's why I lold @ the dumbass miscers telling people to quit their jobs to avoid getting covid vax. Yeah.. let me throw away my health insurance, pension, salary, etc. in this inflated chit of a living standard we're in.

You can spot the liberals ITT because they're calling for dismantling capitalism & endlessly crying about costs while being 34 & working the same dead-end job

And this is assuming that they actually ever did collect a fat pandemic unemployment check.

Right.

- more miserable working conditions [mask all day every day]
- fewer employees for the workload = higher workload for remaining employees
- crankier customers [merchandise out of stock, bad customer service because not enough employees]
- still want to pay the same wages as before, though prices for goods have risen

My most recent work experience:

- finally got hired...good
- only $12 an hour/no benefits despite tons of industry specific experience
- still showed up and pulled more than my own weight
- offered opportunity for mgmt with the hint that then I would get maybe $15 an hour and would be required to work a minimum of 5 days a week/11 hour shifts [open to close]

Meanwhile a one bedroom apartment in this zip code is $1200 on the low side, so I would need at least $3600 a month gross to get a rental. In B4 get a roommate- I have a teenage daughter and don't feel comfortable putting her in a situation of being home alone with some random person found on CL.

So once I "made it" to assistant manager [have to spend time as a department manager first] I could just barely cover the cheapest 2 bedroom apartment rental [$1600] by working 55 hours a week...assuming the rents don't go up in the meantime.
