True Story:

We've been debating the origins of covid for nearly two years now. For the first 12-18 months or so, Bodhy would make numerous claims about natural origins, including how the virus never originated in Wuhan, but instead originated in the rural countryside of Hubei Province. Would never post one lick of evidence or cite any sources for all these numerous claims. We'd repeatedly ask for his sourcing of information. He would promise to post links and never would. Finally, he tells me "look, I'm getting my PhD in pseudoscience and I've spoken to my friends in the scientific community, and this is what they tell me."

Anyways, as we continue debating for several months on this subject, and after numerous requests to cite his sources, he finally posts an article (that was completely fabricated for the reader, once you look at the raw data) that says the virus did not come from Wuhan. Literally no one is talking about this article in the mainstream scientific community. I decide to do a google and find some people on the ycombinator forum discussing this article, as well as it possibly coming the rural countryside of Hubei Province (another Bodhy talking point). Turns out, they were discussing this paper that was posted on Reddit, as their sourcing for all this information. I start to read the Reddit paper, and realize everything Bodhy has been posting for the past year, that he claims he learned from his friends in the scientific community, was completely boosted off this Reddit paper.

Dude is a complete plagiarist and fraud.

ps. Ideally the best forums are ran with a policy of zero tolerance for personal attacks against individual members or attacks on the forum membership in general. Arfcom is a great example of that - and it's a highly successful forum and its general discussion page is busier than Misc ever was even at its height.
