What are the practice guidelines where you are? They don't include extensive counselling before hormonal or surgical intervention? Here, a diagnosis of gender dysphoria is required as a first step

That’s what has been done for years. Gender dysphoria isn’t new. 75% of those who suffer from it recover and go on to lead healthy, normal lives, but only if left alone, and treated in more severe cases. It’s easily made worse by influencing. There is a LOT of research in this area. The problem is that its now being suppressed for poltical gains. Psychologists are being told they can’t treat gender dysphoria and are being demonized for discussing it in a manner that doesn’t go along with the agenda. There have been psychologists that blew the whistle on government agencies that banned it too

The other 25%? They usually end up gay, but are at least able to accept their biology.
