When you consider the history, it's no surprise really. Consider that "octaroon" was a thing at one time. There are tons of blacks in history who have identified as white however, they called it passing, and were sometimes either disowned by their own people or separated themselves from the culture and family on their own.

These stats are largely affected by who lives near who. That doesn't explain the disparity, but if you check out black on black violence, or even white on white you'll see these stats don't have much to do with "hate" or whatever the meme poster is trying to get across. There's more context to the story, but whatever someone is trying to "sell" you in these images is usually a load of simplistic BS.
