which, again, is directly counteractive to what you were arguing about before

blah, blah, blah... i believe even more you didn't do chit on your own

the same could be said for someone starting their own business. when they have nothing starting from scratch building from the ground up. i suppose then you'd be telling them their work is not worth the money exchanged?

i dont think op is in the territory of years off his life yet tbh

but i certainly agree it's not a good habit
Ok dude, either you are trolling or your reading comprehension is about on par with my 8 year old.

1. I never said I traded 80 hour work week for $25k jobs x 2. You are grossly mixing up the data. The details matter.
2. Hard work is the common ingredient in most successful people. Not I didnt say "rich people"
3. I NEVER claim to have done anything on my own. Anyone who claims "Self Made" is an absolute idiot and is disrespecting any mentor they have had in their life or anyone that gave them a chance.
4. If you think starting your own business has similar health affects to driving a boat in an ocean without sleep for days at at time.....you need to get out and experience life more.
5. I think OP has the right plan of attack based on his most recent post. Become a boat owner and GTFO of actually driving the boat. I would be curious to hear from OP how many people actually take that route?

I feel like people who want to do nothing and sit on a beach have never actually had that luxury before, it gets old fast, I've made and lost a (relatively) lot of money in my life and done all sorts of **** and nothing has brought me fulfillment like what I do now. Everything I have is paid off I don't work like this because I have to.

The idea of outfitting a boat and pioneering a new fishery or something is much more appealing to me than drinking margaritas on the beach. I live on the beach it gets boring like everything else.
1. Props to you.
2. I never said sit back and drink margaritas on the beach.
3. I prefer regular sleep nightly.
4. I am not sure if what is portrayed on TV is anything accurate, but it seems like a rough crowd. I sold a business where I wrote a logistics platform for roadside assistance. Was pretty cool technology but I didnt enjoy working with tow truck drivers consistently. Im not sure if its the same in your industry.

Yeah it can lol

Once I made 60k in a month and it took like 6 hours of work total - a couple meetings, a dozen phone calls etc. - probably more like 3 hours of work tbh

The transaction took a few seconds (time it took for the client to place the trade)

Post proof. Money doesn't come easy and never has come easy for a majority of people.

Why is the median national household income $76k? Why are people in debt? Why are people complaining about inflation?

Most people did not get a proper education on important things growing up (finances, work ethic, being able to read situations, see angles, act quickly/fail fast, etc)
Most people are also out of shape and their diets are chit too.

Couldn’t find the 60k one

Here’s a monthly commission pay stub for 24k

This one only took about an hour of work total

How did you end up with a crab license? Not sure of the mechanics in Beavercelistan, but in Alaska, there is a fixed number of them and buying and selling them is completely managed by massive brokerage agencies and it's extremely cost prohibitive to just up and buy a license, especially, a license for the largest allowed tonnage in North America.

Curious how much your license cost srs.

I called the guy up via a complete cold call, talked about the markets for a bit, asked him where he was seeing concerns, offered him a solution, took him out to lunch, emailed back and forth for a few months, called him monthly to see where he was at, eventually set up a call with our portfolio manager and bang secured a 25 million dollar bag and got paid 22k on it. Oh and I asked him for the money. I legit said listen John, we've done all this chit for you when can I see some flows.

The only jobs that make sense to me are ones with chunky payoffs. Just LOL at your time being proportionate to your income. That's what 100 percent salary jobs like accounting are for.

Sounds cool but the hours are too long for my taste.

I'm a Southern brah and I have considered getting into the shipping/boating/fishery industry because I love being out on the water in boats. Thing is I'm at a point in my life where I don't want to work for anyone else. I have been considering making a career change for sure though.

I don't own the boat or license, it's different in Canada unfortunately the owner of the license doesn't have to be on the boat. The license is worth about 4 million CAD though.
