Yeah it sounds like it would be easy until you try it.
Then you get to around set 6 and your thinking otherwise fuk this is gonna hurt.

I will work my way back up to doing it.

I've run the Vince Gironda's 8x8 program a few times. It's an eye opener for sure LOL...

You're using minimal muscle bellies/fibers to "throw" that weight around. Those select few that you use to do that will hypertrophy and then you'll plateau. Discipline is the biggest part to building as many areas of your body, to move as much weight as possible and as efficiently/effortlessly as possible or to fill out as much as possible if you're a BB. Knowing when to back off from volume/intensity, deload how ever you see fit and then peak is the key if you care about 1RM's. If not then just blast yourself with volume and worry about how you want to look with not much strength or peak strength anyway.

45-65% with different hand positions during presses/rows and stances during squats/RDL's with slow controlled reps to engage as many fibers and to EXHAUST as many fibers as possible is what I've noticed. I just don't know how to back off and end up burying my CNS lmao.

Not really true. I've done the same chest workouts with pssy weights for nearly 3 years and ALWAYS get doms. Idk if I'm the pssy or what but it's the truth.

but in this case when he lowered the weight and controlled it more and now feels his pecs being much more sore it also probably means he stimulated more muscle fibers than he has been with his other method.

I also am willing to bet next week he adds considerable more weight because when your muscles get used to proper movement patterns and engagement after a couple sessions your strength starts to go back up a little quick at first.

The novel stimulation here isnt weight increase but weight increase done by the target muscle, pecs, and less done by the anterior deltoids and lats and triceps I would guess.

I never said people need to lower the weight and never increase it back up slowly over time. But you need to initially lower the weight, get the new technique under control until you find a sweet spot with optimal engagement, THEN bring the weight up over time and watch hypertrophy and strength increase.

Spending time doing things right and even returning to those principles from time to time keeps progress going smoother than always fighting for more poundage or more volume.

Also everyone ignore whatever that 8eggs guy was babbling on about that is some low IQ approach to training that died 40 years ago for a reason.
