i have a jig saw with lever blade changing, speed control, angles, oscillation, inertial dampeners, artificial gravity, ect that is superior in every way.
I think it's just cool to have a power tool older than me and even cooler it still works.
its workshop cred really.
The drill I used for putting holes in 4x4's & 6x6's for my deck (the reason my dad bought it for me off craigs list originally).
it went through them like butter.
I had to ditch the spade bits because it was twisting the cheapies from harbor freight so I picked up a spiral.
now i primarily use it to power my grain mill for beer brewing but because it does have a 3/8" chuck i'll still use it for the big bits when i need a big hole.

Costco has a very nice looking Porter Cable drill, impact, reciprocating saw, wheel saw and a few other things in a kit for $229. FYI. Comes with a few batteries, I'd link their website, but it's not coming up.
