Yes he did say it before the fight in some interviews.

But he didn't confirm it in the post-fight interview. The one we're talking about. Also he apparently said he'd retire after the Wilder trilogy, also I'm not sure if that was just in private or also in public. We'll just have to wait and see.

he confirmed it again after the fight in the post press conference it's now all over all the news sites.
