No pics, but since deciding to take my work as an artist seriously, I have two separate work areas set up in my home
My desk is where I have my paints, tools, some crafting materials, and whatever my current project is. Have a decent craft/cutting mat, and just a basic wooden chair, but I don’t need much to be happy and usually don’t spend more than a couple hours at a time sitting there
And then I have a sort of “couch desk” where I do my computer work, scripting, and video editing. It’s portable so I take it down into my much quieter basement for voiceover and sound design
The biggest thing that would help me is getting a camera stand with a smaller footprint, and just getting more organized. It’s a little messy right now and I need to get better at cleaning as I go. But so far it’s been working out for me so I’m happy with it

A comfortable chair won't fix lack of motivation for unsupervised work
Try to find another reason to be productive since the fear of a boss looking over your shoulder is gone. Maybe consider doing something else that you actually enjoy

Never mind the ergonomics, what's with the horrific transphobic JK Rowling mug? Literally shaking right now

Steelcase chair
Height adjustable desk
32" 4k IPS screen
Filco mech keyboard
Kef LSX active speakers
Being able to actually use decent equipment rather than povery chit is one of the best things about WFH

I need my wide screen monitor for double screening, good chair and I might buy a standing desk (push the button to stand and work).
I do roughly 2 days wfh. Won’t be giving that up.

Anti-fatigue mat
Dual monitors / separate keyboard
Good chair (Aeron or similar)
A dedicated area with natural light (if possible)

Serious, though, replace your carpet (if using spare bedroom) with wood or tile and you'll be more productive.

I'd personally buy $1500 of alcohol and drugs to help me cope with working from my 750-square-foot condo.

Tell my wife/kids that when I'm working from home to treat it like I'm at work. While I have the flexibility to come help with something sometimes, I can't just drop everything at a moments notice because me working from home feels like I'm just home to them.

I simply dont have to pretend to like someones lame pupper/cat/boring vacation conversations anymore and can spend more time with family and friends
Also i wake up 1 minute before my first meeting and do „lunch break“ blockers in outlook - i sleep for that hour hehe

Haha I only use my laptop as well. I love my standing desk - I have a nice chair but I stand most of the time. Honestly if I got a stipend, I would put it towards a nice full body massage chair. Costs ~5k for a nice one. Soon.jpg

I bought a chair and cushion.

and I'm glad I did that.

Fortunately(or unfortunately), the company decided that we all RTO from June.
