Last time I saw that guy on the JRE he was insufferable and you could tell his ego is HUGE.

I've always like him and thought of him as a reasonable, grounded person, but I was wrong. First of all masks were required at the show. The lady at the front told me and I told her I thought this was a science show, not a political show. This venue has not had a mask policy for a few months and the city hasn't for over a year. The first 30 minutes were a political rant about covid and white republicans. He called it "House keeping".

He had a slide showing that republicans were more likely to die from covid. He said 5x more likely and that was DATA no one could argue with, yet finding that number online seems to be hard. I found 73 more deaths per 100,000 people for Republicans and 306/100k total. That means about 190 deaths from R and 120 from D, hardly 5x. More lies and hyperbole to support their narrative. Also, that "data" is assuming political affiliation based on counties that voted >60% pro Trump. Talk about a stretch. That's a lot of assumptions to disparage an entire political party's supporters. But, that's what the left does.

Of course he's urging people to get the jab and STILL wear a mask jfc. My mask was off the entire show. I had a jack and coke to sip and when it was done I would just pretend to take a sip when an usher came by.

Another slide showed reluctance to get vaxed and had a chart based on race and political affiliation. White republican was at the bottom showing the most reluctance. I found this interesting b/c if the chart was to show "Amount of reluctance" why did it not show White republicans on the top? More mind games and I really thought he was smarter.

Then as he's doing to show he keeps saying he has to skip ACTUAL SCIENCE slides because he was short on time. Un-fuking-believable.

There was also a couple of jabs in there about race, claiming the lies about people of color and dealing with the police. Apparently there was a kids book written by someone about him where he's on a roof with a telescope and someone calls saying it's a gun and he says, 'I have to show the police Saturn in the telescope so they don't shoot me b/c poc and the police don't mix.' SOMEONE ELSE CALLED SAYING YOU HAD A GUN THEY'RE JUST DOING THEIR FUKING JOB. You think if it's a white guy they're bringing fuking mayonnaise sandwiches and board games?
