True, odd numbers are generally more aesthetic and pleasing.

It's certainly a possibility, although I honestly can't track what is and what isn't deemed "too far"/"too traumatic" with these sorts of things because, well, there are contradictions popping up every which way that would make it impossible to gauge.

Just to give a recent-ish example off the top of my head, I was watching a Dead Meat youtube video on the Candyman remake and during the behind the scenes, they discussed using animated shadow puppets instead of shooting live action depictions of police brutality in the flashbacks because they didn't want to, and I'm paraphrasing here, have people "relive the trauma." I can see how that makes sense (although I'm biased towards theoriginal premise based on the book* where this wouldn't even be a plot point, while still having racial commentary), but if realistic depictions of police brutality can be perceived as "too much" for some people, I'm not sure how a constant reminder of incarceration - something that is not only a longstanding and current social issue, but a statistically far,farmore prevalent one at that - is such a hot idea. That's assuming it was the intention in the first place, bug I digress.

*Plus there is just no replacing Tony Todd for such an iconic role.

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis faced criticism last week for offering what was labeled as a “Juneteenth watermelon salad” in their food court.

“As a museum, we apologize and acknowledge the negative impact that stereotypes have on communities of color,”the statement read. “The salad has been removed from the menu. We are currently reviewing how we may best convey these stories and traditions during this year’s Juneteenth celebration as well as making changes around how future food selections are made by our food service provider.”

IKEA is under fire after one of its stores in Atlanta allegedly listed fried chicken and watermelon as menu items for its employees to supposedly honor Juneteenth.

The furniture giant reportedly sent an email to employees last week alerting them that "to honor the perseverance of Black Americans and acknowledge the progress yet to be made" it was also going to roll out a special menu.

More than likely 95% of the $7M ended up in the bank accounts of local politicians or their family members. Sort of thing that happens all the time. Oh look, $2 Million to pour 100 cubic feet of concrete, and the company chosen will be owned by a local politician's brother-in-law. Crap like that. How do people not see right away that it's a hair pick? They too dazzled by the peace sign and the black fist?

This would be an open and shut case of embezzlement in any other circumstance - or if members of the community who are black with sense of integrity called them out and demanded to see the receipts.
