There is no hell for your soul. Hell is only for the demons. Humans either perish completely or live eternally.
There may be some wiggle room on "waiting for judgement" in hell.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
that sentence would make no sense if you believed human souls go to hell.

how about they are all phucking insane???
Alot of the wicked chit was done for a "god". It doesn't take one either to tell us that we should probably not rape, kill, pillage other people.
I believe the word you are looking for is "spirituality" rather than a god or religion. One can believe in inner reflection, the world is much bigger than themselves, meditation, worldly forces being beyond their control, or even perhaps a higher being that runs chit. minus all the burning people down and all that. Greeks/Romans probably had it closest with their philosophies of Stoicism.

BRB medical professionals eagerly performing insane surgeries on them. Brb what even is a woman. BRB toxic masculinity. BRB mental illness and suicide through the roof
I don’t rly believe in god but let’s make one thing perfectly clear: the world needs Jesus, ded fkn srs

You will notice the ones who bash Christianity the most are the marxists, Socialists, and communists. They are “extremist secularists”. Christianity is a very strong collective, with stronger individuality, and this creates an extremely powerful adversary. So, in order to take down this collective, they have to team up with Satan and attempt to seduce and coerce children and weaker followers away from Christ
One party system; Most Republicans are Democrats, but no Democrats are Republicans.
Hayek and Mises were right; they're all socialists.

Just how it is. How he was is. Your opinion changes nothing. He has allowed bad things to happen to people. Mankind. Yeah.
We can either follow him regardless or we will be punished and abused too. Forever. And? Or we can strive to understand him, to know him, and end in his good graces hopefully if we can ever attain that kind of wisdom. It is unfair to many but if that’s the way god is, tf can we do? intentionally Going to punishment is for sure foolishness.
Edit
Sins we WOULD HAVE committed. Yup that’s right we can go to hell for bad things we actuality never did. How bout that?!

Also, he didn't do that, there were plenty of so called "Heretics" who called out the bs Christians have attempted to peddle. lol'd at "communist death cult" too. The literacy levels are at an all-time low. Christians can't even read the Bible, let alone understand it. And political theory not even once. Everyone does need a reason to get up in the morning, but I don't think religion has to be that reason. Now I'm not anti religion. For some people, that's all they have. That's my problem with militant atheists. They aim to remove religion, but don't offer a suitable alternative. I think a stronger sense of community, unity, and responsibility is key. For some retarded reason, shame seems to be going away.
Actually, I know exactly why.

You don’t get a stronger sense in any facet with an atheist secular society. In fact with with the modern liberalism model, the seeking of self pleasure/individual rights reigning supreme over anything else leads all to the opposite.

You may think there's a universal "right" compass. Because humans are tribal, I believe right essentially boils down to "don't harm your tribe and fuk everyone else". I mean even in the Bible, God sanctioned actions by his chosen people and champions that by our own standards would not be considered "right".

You say it’s really simple for people to make a utopia and to just treat everyone else like they want to be treated. And yet for some reason, not only have we not been able to do it, but we’ve done absolutely horrible things to each other for as long as we’ve existed.

With that said, it seems like a little bit of a tangent from the original discussion about the Theological aspects and personality of the "God" depicted in the Bible (especially Old Testament). I agree with the moral framework part, but I also think the mental gymnastics some of displaying in this thread and using the Bible ("God as depicted in the Bible is kind of shytty, but the Bible says this - which explains it all away") as a credible source of something is silly.
I think much more plausible explanations of the nature of reality can be found in Gnosticism and some of the Eastern Religions, but I'm not sure how in depth I feel like getting into that here.

Don't forget how those who aren't baptized or ask for forgiveness are also condemned to hell.
Which is very unfortunate to the 80% of the world that had no way of being exposed to Christianity for 99% of history.
Brb every native American is in hell.
Just lmaooooo @ the absolute dullards who believe this nonsense.

That conversation was going nowhere.I don't disagree with any of that, and I've often said (even though I'm "Agnostic") that I think in general the Judeo Christian values gave a good moral framework on which to build a society - and that the deviation from that has caused problems. Underneath it all human nature is degenerate/hedonistic and has a variety of other unsavory elements. Religion helps give incentive to people (which such a large portion of the population are NPCs with little capacity for self reflection or critical thinking) to keep those elements in check in themselves.

I used to be a Christian, till I read books like Joshua, Chronicles, Esther etc and the amount of genocide in it I JFL and noped outta there. I read the Orthodox study bible and the scholarly commentary on the meanings of those books didn't cut it for me. Very animalistic and tribal, it makes me understand why Jewish religion in his Rabbinic form is racial laws made into a religion. Hardly transcendent, just tribe/race wars.
Have literally spent hundreds of hours watching Orthodox Hermeneutics and Theology lectures, what a fukkin waste of time.
Although I do like some of the writings of the early Church fathers.

And it’s very much subjective and open to interpretation. Especially given who Satan is according to Jews and Christians. There’s a very large divide there. One rebelling and one acting as an agent of God.

The reason some of us don’t use scripture to argue facts, is because one can use a Christian and liberty lens to see the world objectively, and to better see good and evil.
Based on what I know, people attacking Christian beliefs are doing great harm to themselves, as well as everyone else. Christianity will not die, only the ultra secular well. Think Mussolini and Stalin, to get an idea. Christianity become stronger the more damage the secular collective does.
Think about it, Christians allow people to do what they want, as long as they do no harm. In other words, Christians are fundamentally libertarians.

It’s hardly at the expense of the argument. But even if it was, did you forget where this discussion is taking place? “Extra edgy”, this is misc we’re talking about.
Anyway, the God of the OT is a psychopath.
