Studies were done and found that black students were 3X as likely to get suspended/expelled from school than white students although not sure of the numbers. They claimed black students were being unfairly targeted for discipline. As a result schools are afraid to discipline black students in fear of being called out for bias. We all know that ignoring a problem doesn't make it go the other way.
