The Lakers small ball lineup was laughable. Fans were blaming Darvin Ham but he really didnt have very much options. Hachimura will solve a lot of this issue.

I still can't absolve Ham of those 5 guard lineups.. No matter what your roster looks like

Honestly tho.... If the Lakers are somehow able to get Gary Trent Jr, then I'll be full on board with them being one of the top 2 teams in the WC (long as AD stays healthy). They need a shooter in GTJ and AD to stay healthy and I feel like they can beat any team in the West. Hachimora is so desperately needed for size on the wing. Honestly I'm shocked they were able to get a winning record without AD, let alone without Lonnie and Austin Reaves.

I would prefer an older/experienced guy like Bojan Bogdanovic. We have a bunch of young guys already and having a guy Lebron can rely on for shooting in the clutch, esp in the playoffs.

Can't believe they got Hachimura for nothing. So many teams could've used that kind of a player, as a Warriors fan I'm pissed.

Lebron giving it his all trying to make another miraculous comeback and Westbrick just cawkblocks him.

Really want to like the guy but this is some sad stuff.

Russ needs to be traded because he's gonna be unplayable in the playoffs. LeBron literally carried that team on his back to within striking distance, and Russ literally made back to back to back losing plays and the game is over

Honestly Russ stopped a 50+ pt game and a potential comeback just by stepping on the floor in the clutch. Someone needs to slap the hell out of Darvin Ham anytime he thinks about putting Russ in during clutch times

That's the 4th game just in 2023 where the refs literally stole a win for the Lakers.. and the 2nd one on a LeBron drive to win the game

It's honestly egregious at this point, a ref was literally standing 4 ft away, with no other obstruction STARING at the play and didn't call an obvious foul on a game winning drive to win the game. At what point does the league actually hold these dudes accountable. Half the people on the floor heard the slap, come on now

Why did Tatum, supposedly a "great defender" and one of the best players in the NBA, windup and smack the chit out of Lebron's wrist when the game was tied with 4 seconds on the clock? It's almost as if... he knew beforehand that there would be no call.

UGGHHHH I hate this for the Lakers. They need a single shooter with size, and Kyrie doesn't do it.

The FO is going to be so enamored with trying to get Kyrie even tho they don't have the assets and will now be left hanging and not be able to get what they actually need. Kyrie isn't going to the Lakers cause they don't have the assets, but now I'm convinced they will now make ZERO trades and be SOL because of this

Also Lakers would 10000% need to give up both 1st rnd picks, and the Nets would have to give the Lakers something back to match salaries.. this just isn't happening unless Kyrie legit says "The only team I'm going to is the Lakers.. I will go nowhere else"

Kyrie's scoring ability will override any downsides from his size. And it isn't like Kyrie is a scrub shooting from outside either.

I wouldn't be too quick to say Lakers need to give up both FRPs. Need to wait and see who is interested in Kyrie.

Rumors say that it has to do with disagreements on a contract extension.

KD/Kyrie are stealing the trade deadline spotlight.. but IMO Lakers are the top winner. Got rid of Russ/Bev, added size and shooting.

We going to the Finals.

Idk about the Finals.... But good lord Rob Pelinka was straightCOOKINGthis deadline.

To turn Russ, Bev, and throwaways into:

Rui
DLO
Vanderbilt
Beasley
Bamba

While also reducing the luxury tax is honestly a huge W. Don't know if another team filled so many of their holes the way the Lakers did

Lakers goofed hard by trading Thomas Bryant for some lousy draft picks. He was very productive.

You didn't actually watch the games if you think this was a hard goof... Thomas Bryant isunplayablein the playoffs. He's arguably the worst defensive big in the NBA, or at least in the conversation. The Lakers were getting eaten alive on the interior when he was in.

If he wasn't getting you 25+/10 boards then he just wasn't a big positive coming off the bench on an already terrible front line team. Wenyen Gabriel is the real winner in this. He actually plays solid defense, is a great energy guy, and can hit the outside shot. I was always scratching my head when Ham would give TB a bunch of min and have DNP's for Wenyen and now we know why... they were trying to up the value of TB to trade him, since they could get basically all those 2nd rd picks they traded for Rui since they were never gonna resign him

AD, Vanderbilt, Bamba, and Gabriel as front line players is such a huge upgrade

AD and Bamba will be hosting a block party in the paint every night, agreed. Gabriel is solid but I am not yet sold on Vanderbilt.

Warriors have issues with Draymond and Poole
We shipped Westbrick to Clippers
Likely some issues with Ja Morant and his team that will affect their locker room. Also they have some key guys hobbled
Looking like Kyrie and Luka won't fit well together
And now KD is out

Who is stopping us if Lebron and D-Lo come back healthy?

Warriors have a Jordan Poole problem more than a Draymond one. Jordan Poole is fukn terrible. One of the worst defenders in the league and shooting like chit all season, while taking shots like he's Steph Curry

The Grizz are def gonna be on that struggle bus for awhile, I've read that Ja is in rehab for alcohol. Idk how true that is but obviously something is up

Agreed on the Mavs, they play no defense on that team.

Suns have no KD all year but still dangerous come postseason.

Bron has to come back at least 80% for the Lakers to have a chance to make a deep run. And AD has to stay healthy. Those are 2 big asks, but it could happen

The Suns lost Bridges, Cam Johnson, and Jae Crowder. Bridges is very underrated and he is showcasing it right now
